Crysis 2's Multiplayer

Post » Sat Nov 06, 2010 12:39 pm

Hi Guys,
Just wondering whether Crysis 2's multiplayer would be a bit easier than the first one's because finished playing BFBC2 last week and am now playing Crysis's multiplayer which I find a lot harder to play and less fun.

P.S. C2's multiplayer looks a lot like COD 4 especially the preset classes, nanosuit modules(perks) and ability to customize your own class.

And here my pc settings, can anyone tell me whether I can run Crysis 2 on PC with High settings??

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.86 Ghz
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon 5570 1GB
RAM: I inserted 4 1GB cards so it should be 4 GB but on the computer(task manager) it shows up as 3.6 GB

If you are referring to Crysis Wars... it's not hard. It only takes time and practice to get good at it. I would've love to see Crytek retain some of the essence of WARS.... I look at the MP footage and it reminds me of MW2 x(

It seems they will give us a CoD game... with the features of the nanosuit.

Hope I'm VERY wrong.

Yes, I hope you're wrong too. I would actually like Crysis 2 not to turn into a COD game. Something like BC would be better.

P.S. Hope there won't be much spawn camping...

Right. What's wrong with C2 being similar to COD in some aspects? Just because COD does it doesn't necessarily mean it's bad. Actually, given the success of COD, it should actually be pretty darn good, no? See, a bad artist copies, but a good artist steals. Now, that also applies to game design. Just as long as they're not copying COD, only stealing a good idea from it, I'm fine with it.

So should you, because at the end of the day, we, the gamers benefit from this.

What I've seen from the C2MP so far has impressed me. This is a game that really has the potential to be extremely successful. It's not set in recent times or the past and it's not set too much in the future, either. This is really the golden middle-path, of so to say. Couple that with the Nanosuit, solid game mechanics and good map design and you've got a very successful game.

This is the sort of game that many have been waiting for, including myself. Whatever your assumptions about COD may be, it's not all bad. Neither is it all good, but just because another game has another successful game's aspects in it, doesn't mean it's a copy or a bad game. Cut the guys at Crytek UK some slack and don't be such whining jerks, before you've even played the game.

That would be all.

Thank you

Agreed. BC > CoD.. However, BF > BC > CoD :D

Crysis 2 being like CoD multiplayer is not really what the fans want...

dj, you took the words right out of my mouth. CoD has some really golden multiplayer, and crysis could learn a thing or too. and it still can have a lot of legroom to be unique with the nanosuit, tailor fitted tactics, and the general vibe of crysis. i always get the feeling that half the people who are CoD haters have never played it. Yes, its agrovating with noob toobs, campers, spawn snipers, etc. but its still a great way to waste time. for those of you talking **** about it and never plaid it, dont knock it till you try it

People hate CoD because it's a game that's "dumbed down" for the noobs.
Kinda overkill imo though - casual players are their focus, but casual doesn't mean stupid. People can handle a vehicle with more complex controls than "Go, Turn".

I'm not saying CoD isn't a fun game, but it is a poor quality game - especially now that they're shooting one out every year.

I have finished all the campaigns on Veteran since CoD4, and "prestiged" at least once on each, so I have played.

I don't see how this game resembles CoD, save for the fact that both games have guns. At the end of the day however this game looks to be something more, a game with tactics and actual brain power to play. I think people need to stop looking at the very few elements that resemble CoD and look at the very many elements that sets Crysis 2 grossly apart.
