Crysis 2 multiplayer is

Post » Thu Jun 02, 2011 9:47 pm

Absolute rubbish. I played crysis 2, which I originally though was fun, and then went back to crysis 1. No contest. Crysis 1 rewards skill, and positioning. Crysis 2 rewards camping. This is a thread only for those people who were GOOD at crysis 1 or wars. No COD/HALO nubs here.

In crysis 1 stealth did not dominate the game, neither was there this piece of **** called "nanovision" which has to be the most overpowered ability in existence. Armour mode actually served a purpose, and you could do airstrafes, which only enhanced gameplay and added a new dimension to the game. The skill level was higher. You actually needed to aim to pwn, instead of this new style who shoots first wins first rubbish going on in FPS these days. Noone wants realism. We want a fun enjoyable game, that rewards people who take their time to learn it. I hate this "everybody is a winner woop woop" ****. Simple games for simple people. Fact.

So, essentially, only people who played the original crysis wars to death are allowed to comment?

Ok, i'll leave it to the 1k people who did. The fact is that although the crysis 1 multiplayer was unique, it was by no stretch of the means anything other than a fail in the eyes of EA and crytek. No-one played it.

Thats why most of the servers are full right now. Get your head out of your ass. Crysis 1 had a pro scene. Crysis 2 won't have ****.

One server is full. Over half of them are completely empty. Over 15 of them have less than 4 players. Around 350 players online on Crysis Wars right now.

C2 demo multi have those numbers now :D

Jesus "No.on" another crybaby from C1 Multi age trying to say that C2 is:
- full of campers: total BS, every1 who try camp is run over by zerg wagon.
- nanovision is OP: the fact that everyone can use it, makes this mode balanced, and it looks like you can't handle new mode so it is OP, but some how other ppl can play with it and not get raqed 24/7 by other player witn NV turned ON :D
- you dont need aim to pwn: That story from C1 not C2... you are posting some BS you silly duck.

Fact.
You didn't get any facts on your side.

For those that say Crysis Wars is better in every way, tell me this. Why is the game a rotting corpse that only a few hundred people play? I hate the illusion that a lot of PC gamers have, that if a map is one to two miles squared and has vehicles, it's obviously the best kind of multiplayer and everything else is supposedly "consolized".

While I do see the luxury in Crysis Wars and it is an excellent multiplayer experience, if thats what I want to play I′ll go ahead and play it. I don′t understand why people want Crytek to essentially release the same game twice. I welcome the change.

I mean christ, all these PC fanboys claim that Crysis 2 would be the best game ever if the singleplayer took place in a jungle and the multiplayer maps were big. Newsflash, they already made that game, its called Crysis 1. You would actually prefer that Developers go the Call of Duty route? Change as little as possible and release the same game over and over? No, that would svck.

Crysis Wars was fun! but the new Crysis 2 Multiplayer is made to compete with CoD and Halo, and if you look at it that way then you can see that they did a really good job, I know some people who have stopped playing Black Ops and are now playing the Crysis 2 Demo, and they can not wait for the arrival of the full version. So, I say, Good Job Crytek, Congradulations!!

PS: Maybe they will release a Crysis Wars 2 so the can draw the attension of the Battle Field fans?

I'm a wars fan but...

I really liked the new gameplay, its much more immersive than CWars. The Physics are better, the game is more fast-paced, no camping...

But I would like Power Struggle. The Battlefield taste with nanosuits.

Why are morons citing the small population of Crysis multiplayer as some sort of proof? The game is almost four years old. Chances are, Crysis 2 will be just as deserted, if not more deserted, after four years. You're comparing the population of a retail four year old game to the population of a new free demo. Honestly, this isn't even surprising, given what sort of people Crysis 2 is made to appeal to.

They could have easily expanded the jungle setting and had us go through other areas like massive mountains, deserts, rainforests, alien fortresses, even to an alien planet. All of that is much better than the generic New York with tiny levels. Newsflash: Crytek did go the Call of Duty route with tiny maps, killstreaks, strict classes, no vehicles, small player counts, and perks in the multiplayer. When I buy a Crysis game, I expect things that would be in a Crysis game: large maps, vehicles, many players, multiplayer with depth, loads of physics objects, lean and prone, in-battle weapon customization, and a much more open game. There was a lot of room for improvement. They did not have to go down the route of Call of Duty, but they did because they wanted to abandon their fanbase to svck console dike.

you sound exactly like the DA:O Elitists on the Bioware Social network

Face it chap, they did what they thought was best or else they would have stuck with the original model or decided not to go multiplatform.

in spite of your nerdrage Crysis 2 will be an amazing game.....especially for those who can't give a crap about MP

you guys do realize MP is a beta right? Start nerd debates about the game when you play it. These constant arguments about how crysis one is better is kinda counting your chickens too soon.

There is no "nerdrage" here. I'm happy that I'm not going to be wasting $60 on this steaming pile of crap. I'm going to be playing Duke Nukem Forever instead where the lead platform is actually the PC, which is what it should be. Enjoy your **** $60 game while I enjoy my amazing $50 game.

You do realize what you said was also said about the leak, right? People were like: "hey, it's a leak and so it does not reflect the final game!!!" Yet here comes a more recent demo that is very similar (if not exactly the same) in graphics, controls, and level design. This demo was released a mere month before release. If it does not reflect the current state of the game, then something is very, very wrong.

Niche gamer markets cannot be the target of AAA games any more. That's just how it is. The only platform that could support relatively small audiences is the PC (due to very high profit margins via digital), but the fact is why would anyone purposefully restrict their potential audience? That's the reason PC exclusive games are ones that don't work at all on consoles or are made by companies without the funds for console development too.

Exclusives for consoles are dying off too, especially for the xbox (which i believe is going to be turned into M$'s 'casual' platform next gen, since they've started to realise that their plan of killing off PC gaming and trying to push the 360 didn't work at all). AAA game development is just too expensive now.

If you're after crysis wars, you already have crysis wars. You don't need a copy paste of it. Sure, it'd be nice to have a sequel for that, but crysis wars was a flop (don't QQ, you know it was true). Crysis sold quite well in the end (far better than uncharted for example), but for continued engine development they need more money, hence consoles. Regardless, the game is an improvement in many ways over crysis 1. Just because it isn't what you and your niche want doesn't make it any worse. Crysis 2 will go on to be a much bigger success than the original.

I guess we'll see on the 22nd when i come back to this post. I'm not arguing with someone that isn't interested in a game and posting on the forums for that game.

Hark, from what I've been seeing you say, you've mainly just put down other people, insulted the game or others, and it doesn't even seem like you're going to be playing the game by the most recent thing you've said. If you're not going to be playing, and you're not going to be adding any constructive comments, why are you here?
