Crysis 2 is not meant to be played

Well that seems to be the general consensus in this forums. A good chunk of the folks in this forum only purchase the game for either wanting to brag about their superiority over consoles or to test their video card. If that is what you really into get a benchmarking software like Futuremark, its cheaper and you don't have to interact or play anything, just look at the pretty graphics.

The sad thing is these forums are filled with so much whining. Its ok to complain but the last bazillion threads all regurgitated the same nonsense. God forbid folks actual talk about *gasp* the actual game. Instead we need two million more ignorant threads about directx 11, comparison between Crysis and Crysis 2, consolization and Crytek you have killed my mother.

Hopefully we would get around to playing the game.:)

lol op.. how is that your complaint about all the rant about no dx11 or such things less ignorant? AND really? go back and play cod.. most of the original crysis fans are disappointed with not only the graphics, but every other aspect of the game ( including the story which has almost nothing to do with the first one )

Opening a thread like this is as useless as the whining.

How is this ignorant? Am I speaking of things I have no understanding of; like the folks who talk alot about DX 11? And how does Call of Duty relate to this thread?

most people who are talking about DX11 have enough understanding to know it will make the game better.

I could say the lever designers did an amazing job with every single level. But than I remember stockpiles of ammo spread all over the place. Enormous amount of cover spread across entire battlefield making it pointless to plan ahead, just run shoot, hide behind next best thing, recharge.
Dont make me remember the moments when I went nuts and started humping a Ceph grunt from the back in stealth mode, my suit had to run all out of energy before Ceph decided to move away.

I really want to love Crysis 2, its just that this damn game is really difficult to love.

The game itself is **** epic. People who say the gameplay in Crysis 2 svcks to the fullest are either trolls, haters, or liars. OR people just really have that opinion, yet they probably thought Crysis 1 had the best gameplay ever when in reality............it's rather mediocre to most PC gamers eyes. Of course, now it doesn't seem that way because in order to hate Crysis 2 more, many gamers must love Crysis 1 so yeah.... <_<"

Lotsa physcologically weak minded and STUPID gamers on these forums.

From what I've seen on this board so far, I agree with the original post.

The general attitude from you haters is this: I'm sooo cool to hate the game and bich all day! What? You're praising the game? You are gay and uncool and an asshole.

Well he's right. Crysis was nice and all and the gameplay was ok...but given the choice to play Mass Effect or even Half Life 2 I would choose them over Crysis 1. Mainly because they were much more enjoyable and engaging. The main reason I finished is because the graphics kept me going. I wanted to see more pretty stuff. As a game itself it stunk (Warhead was an improvement, but was way too short). Storyline was the dumbest **** anyone could have ever come up with (thank god Crysis 2 puts together the pieces from Crysis 1 and then it makes sense. Crysis 1 storyline was empty. it told you nothing. you could finish the whole game and say "what the **** is going on")

Crysis 2 is more "game" and less "OMG pretty!" .

Most people who are talking about DX11 probably donthave a DX11 video card and are a. biching because they like biching or b. believe it will transform Crysis on their DX10 card into a majical cornocopea of flashy colors and high res textures
