I find myself drawn to this game even despite my tendency to rage about connectivity issues and/or hit detection. Which leads me to one conclusion: I thoroughly enjoy Crysis 2. I do want to see the issues fixed, if at least partially, but there are a few things that strike me as odd or overlooked.
Keep in mind these are only my opinions:
*Air Stomp: Once again, I find myself laughing when I actually managed to use this ability properly, but I rarely equip it because it's entirely far too situational. There are at least 3 other Armor Modules I find more helpful or even necessary to equip over this one. Why not just make it a base suit ability like slide? I can't think of any negative consequences to this being available to everyone.
*L-Tag: Now I don't believe this weapon is useless. It's actually fun to use, but why not make it a side arm. I understand it's a bit heavy but when I do use it, I find myself running around with the AY69 out far more often. Which usually makes me question why I even bother equipping it.
*Side Pack: Personally, I have never used this. I understand that after it's leveled up it allows for a second grenade and additional attachment ammo, but the first rank of it makes me feel it's more of a handicap. Since there are so few guns in this game, it's not hard to find someone using a Feline/Scar/Scarab to grab some extra ammo. Over all I feel like this should be bundled with Load Out.
*LAN or System Link options: Honestly, I'm baffled that this game doesn't have the option. I read a thread on here once stating the same, and it really made me question why it's not available. I would hope it would be easy to implement, but I don't claim to know anything about coding. I'd suggest adding this feature for the more competitive players. I feel this game could be quite an interesting Gaming League game, but it lacks that option without this ability.
*Host Migration: Now we all know this game still suffers from host migration issues, but I noticed something I have yet to read about (it may have been posted and I just neglected to read it). I was in a lobby with a few people, and the match countdown had started. The host suddenly left, which caused it to search for a new session. Why would it not simply search the lobby for a new host rather than try to find me or even the entire lobby a new session? The only reasonable excuse for that incident I can think of was that there where no other available GOOD hosts in that lobby. But I played with those same people (minus a few people leaving and new entering) for a good 5-6 games.
*Online Player Count: Not that I want to go comparing this game to COD or Halo, but would it do harm to have a ticker showing the amount of online players currently playing? This really has nothing to do with game play, but I am always curious as to the popularity of the game... I would hope, with a few fixes, that the game would flourish for quite some time.
All said, if what KR4KKEN said is true and we should be seeing a new patch out within the week, I'm excited.
