How do I install the Open Beta?
PC Players:
You will need an Origin account and the Origin Client in order to download and participate in the Open Beta. If you don’t already have an Origin Account simply go to the Origin website (http://www.origin.com) and register using the link on the top right.
Once you have an account download the client from the following website: http://www.origin.com/download - Run the downloaded file and follow the instructions to install the client.
Launch the Origin client and log in to your account.
You can now select the My Games tab within Origin to see the Open Beta. From here you can download and install the game.
Xbox 360 Players:
The Open beta will be located for download and installation on the Xbox Demo section of Xbox Live. You will need an Xbox Live gold subscription in order to participate. Simply download and install as with any other game/demo.
PS3 Players:
The Open Beta will be located on the Sony PlayStation Network store under Demos for you to download and install. Simply download and install as with any other game demo.
What are the Crysis 3 Beta system requirements?
In order to experience Crysis 3, your PC must at least meet these Minimum Specs:
Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8
DirectX 11 graphics card with 1GB Video RAM
Dual core CPU
2GB Memory (3GB on Vista)
While the above will allow you to experience Crysis 3, the optimal experience is enjoyed on these Recommended Specs or better:
Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8
DirectX11 graphics card with 1GB Video RAM
Quad core CPU
4GB Memory
What if my video card does not support Direct X 11?
You must have a DX11 supported video card in order to participate in the Open Beta.
What is the purpose of this Open Beta?
The Open Beta will give players a chance to play Crysis 3 Multiplayer pre-release. Although it will not be final code, it will give you a good idea on the gameplay, design and feel for the final game for when it arrives in February. We will also apply final balancing based on feedback from the Beta
Where do I go if I have a problem running the game?
The Crysis 3 forums at gamesas.com is your first stop. There will be threads for each problems as well as for thoughts and comments, please post in the correct forums. You may find the answer to your problems already posted by someone else in the community or answered by one of the devs. When posting a new problem, please include as much detailed information as possible in order to help us understand the issue and solve it.
Where do I go if I have a comment or question about the game?
Even though this is near to final code, We expect to find some issues and problems. All feedback is welcome and the devs will be pouring over the boards mentioned above to read it. We will have separate threads for bugs, issues and comments on specific areas of the game. This is your chance to feedback before the game is done and live to the world.
Can I post videos or talk about the game outside of the official gamesas message boards?
There are no restrictions, feel free to post whatever, wherever you want
What state is the game in? How close to final is the code I am looking at?
This is an Open Beta which means most areas of the game are near complete, however we are still looking at balance and polish. Feedback is always welcome.
