Absolutely!

VAC will ban permanently and automatically and no one whinges about that. I think it's a perfect idea, for the very few people who get banned by accident, it keeps the games much cleaner for legit players.

Also, while banning cheaters via Serial Number is all well and good (which is the way I guess it'd be done), there needs to be a system that checks for genuine keys rather than the way it is at the moment with fake keys allowed to join ranked servers.

Although, I've been very lucky so far with cheaters - or the lack of when I've been playing Crysis 2 online. I haven't played it a massive amount, probably 6 hours over the last week, but not once had I been on a server with hacks being used. I did encounter it a fair bit in the demo, though.

I dont know about all that. Depends on what games you're playing and how bad you need everything on Extreme settings. I have my son playing Crysis2 on a 8800GTS and he's more than happy with the performance. Is he missing a few bells and whistles ? Sure, but bells and whistles aren't what makes games great, it's game play. The AI in this game does more to harm it then playing on a 8800GT card

I know I have to upgrade, but according to system requirements it should run fine with this card, but it stays steady around 44fps then drops back to 16 fps for a minute, back to 44fps and back again to 16 fps, and on and on and on.

Burduk, in the bin32 folder, don't launch Crysis2.exe but Crysis2Launcher.exe, and normally the last automatic update will do this.
**** is that I launch Crysis2Launcher.exe, but no any auto-update, game start without updating

A change that wasn't in the list: No casting shadow when cloaked. more realistic.
Actully the way it was before was the more realistic setup if you understand how the suits cloak works within the crysis universe.

Crytek, please put the suit casting a shadow back to how it i was, this change really wasn't needed and made more sence the way it was, allthough there is a lot of issues with the game there is no need to fix what wasn't broken in the first place just because some people don't understand it.

They can add it back in, but not make it so dark, like a faded shadow.

Hmm, that is pretty radical. I just used FRAPS to record the MinMaxAvg for 3 mins on, the Min was 28, the max was 57, and average was 42. So I'm not seeing the massive jumps from 44 to 16, other than when I first load the game, and normally on the first explosion, after that it's pretty stable in the mid 30s.

Granted, down at the mid 30s isn't where I'd want to be, but it's good enough to play through if one didn't want to spend the cash on new card for a mediocre game. Obviously, there are plenty of folks that consider 35-45 fps average to be unplayable and I'll say that's a valid opinion.

Have you looked into The advance Graphics Option utility? Might let you tweak the game more to make it playable

Thanks Tom, but, I have a question. Is it alright if the studio fixes the problem of slowdown in some of the level intros and ingame cutscenes?

I will really enjoy this patch. But, it would be appreciated if you work on the cutscene slowdown.

Turned out the patch i downloaded was for crysis 1. Lol. Got c2 to autoupdate. Happy time!

the nanosuit upgrades are saving now, but the rank is resetting (tested today)

I've updated via Steam and now as well as the prolonged loading times it also just doesn't display the main menu so I cant do anything once it has loaded :/

I'd love to complain about the problems in MP but since I still can't log in and haven't been able to since day 1 I suppose I'm limited to complaining about the half of a game I bought for full price. Perhaps someone would like to buy my LE perks code, not that it will work but it wouldn't be the first thing you paid for that didn't work.
