:/ Where are you paying $130 for your games? Myer? lol

If you shop at decent places you're fine. I paid $77 for GT5 recently @ EB. IIRC, i paid $80 for my Crysis Special Edition DVD.

We do get slugged hard on Steam though. Some games can be up to $90AUD on Steam, whilst they're $50 on the UK/US stores -_-

Yeah, even Myer doesn't have games jacked up to that price.

Sympathy and attention... Awesome!

There's not much competition around my area. There's EB games, K-Mart, and some other game-shop. They all see the other places getting away with such ridiculous prices and are like "lol lol lol I'ma be rich"

And I meant new releases/very popular games (Like CoD).
Old releases and less mainstream games are usually around $80 which is ridiculous considering the Americans don't pay that much for new releases.

I've been told the Americans can get games for less than $40.
Makes me like "lol lol lol F*** you." to EB Games & Friends.

I bought Metro 2033 for 32 € when it was released.. and it came along with Red Faction Guerillia. That was a special deal from amazon. Even for my Starcraft 2 i only payed 39 € instead of the regular 53 €.
In germany you can get games very cheap. Unless youre a console gamer. New Console games are usually 54 -59 € and their Pc counterparts cost about 10 € less than that.

But havent you got any "used games"- dealers in australia?
I buy my console games on trade-a-game.de and i have saved much money .
