This has been asked so often :/ and any day nearer the realease means the lesser possibility of having Power Struggle in Crysis 2. As Logan said: Wait for it to be modded.

How could Power Struggle work with the new multiplayer mechanics though? Teams wont have "bases" and there isnt anything to buy in multiplayer. Take away those and its nothing more than a Domination style gametype which is almost certainly going to be in the game.

In Crysis, that was all in LUA code, which can be modded. So, no matter what we get now, I think we could mod Power Struggle back into the game. And the bases are just models, and there are programs that can pull those models into 3D modeling programs so they can be exported to Crysis 2 MP. :p CE2 was a very moddable engine supporting Flowgraphs, LUA, and C++ code. You can make new game types and such with it. So, while I do not care for Crysis 2 MP, I really want to see what mod tools we are going to get. And especially, if we can make maps beyond 8 x 8 km.

I hope for Power Struggle in some variant. :)

It could work as a DLC after release, maybe along with some Co-Op that Crytek's been thinking of putting in as DLC post-release. :)

The mod community might be able to do it, but it will need a highly skilled team and get easy access to it, or nobody will play it.

Except that no decent PC player is ever going to buy DLC, unless its like a whole new game.

Did I ever say it would cost money?

Doesnt matter anyway, I would gladly purchase a DLC if it included Power Struggle, a couple new maps, and/or coop all in one package for $5 - 10. I know plenty other people would to. It just needs to be a fair amount after the release so that it feels fresh and not like "money milking" that releases like MoH tried.

Yeah, if it was something like that, people would buy it. Were just not going to buy tiny little gimmicks like the console players do. You give us a large addon for a decent amount of money, and we'll buy it.
