the memory requirements is a little high, don't you think? I could understand 2 or 3 GB maybe but 4? I don't think so

After seeing the PC version of Crysis 2 on the CrysisTV video, I would say a low end card will emulate the Xbox like grahpics just fine.

GTX7800, Pentium 4 @ 3.2GHz, 1 GB RAM.

Judging from the C2TV episode, which looks like a console port. So those console specs right there should run Crysis 2 perfectly. ^^

I'd say we just copy-paste the old system requirements from Crysis and consider those final for now.

Completely agree, no way you would need 4gb's of ram to run anything, that means you have to have a 64bit pc, and not many people have those.

An i think i said in another thread, if it runs on an xbox and you have at least a mainstream nvidia or ati graphics card then you should be fine.

Yeah, I think people are starting to understand this is not Crysis, its a whole new game made for the Xbox, and ported to the PC. Even low end modern cards are going to be able to run it.

Crysis 2 being jammed into the xbox 360 and PS3 so I reckon that the RAM shouldn't be that high cuz and XBOX 360 has 512MB and the PS3 has only 256MB which is **** house so good PC RAM should be able to cope. Like I have FC2 and AC2 which are on all platforms (not Wii cuz its gay) now I have a good computer but it's not the best and yet running both games in highest settings I've never had any system lag probs cuz the game has Been made so I can run on the PS3s 256MB I reckon crysis will be the same.

oH yer and crysis 2 isn't going to be "ported" to the consoles. the PC is hooked up to the consoles somehow and What happens is the level designer does stuff on the PC and It appers on the two console screens. It's called "Live Create" i think

If it runs well on a console on medium-equivalent settings, chances are it's system requirements aren't going to be much different than crysis 1.

How many of you guys have read the information about Crysis 2 we talked about before the site relaunch. Most of my posts on this new site has been about reminding people about information we got before this site was relaunched. Though it seems like almost nobody cares about what I write they just keep jabbing around. Once agian this post will contain some reminding.

Crytek said a while back that Crysis 2 would not demand more than Crysis did and look better than Crysis at the same time. This is beacuse they have made the engine so scaleable. They had to make the engine highly scaleable since they want it to run on X360 and PS3.
And another reminder: Crysis 2 wil look much better on PC than on consoles, Crytek hasen't forgotten us PC player just because they have startet looking at consols too.

The engine is more optimized, as they need to run it on consoles too, so if anything, requirements will be lower.

DX11 cards can have DX11 rendering techniques such as tessellation, if you have an OS which isn't a steaming pile of turd. So you need Vista or 7.
DX11 cards work with DX9, and DX10.

In that case remove vista from the list too.

Anyway, id say 3 gig of ram and a dual 2.66ghz intel and a 9600gt as minimum. Not to be able to play it at bare minimum but to be able to play it where it is somewhat enjoyable (medium and native monitor res as opposed to very low and 800x600 ewww).

You guys should know that Crysis uses more processor than anything else so what will probably happen is that Crysis 2 will need more processor than Crysis but more or less the same with everything else.

Plus, it doesn't matter if the game is on the console or not. Assassin's Creed is on the consoles and still needs quite a bit and Assassin's Creed needed even more yet they still both run on consoles aswell. Same with Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2. So, it really doesn't make a difference to the PC version if it's also on console or not. That's all down to the format of the files.

Hope this helps,

Even at everything Low and 800x600, Crysis still looked really good i think. That's what made it so good to people who didn't have a supersomputer but just had an average computer with a Pentium 4 2.60GHz processor, 3 Gigabytes of DDR RAM at 400MHz, ATI x1550 Series AGP Graphics card of 512MB with a Core Clock of 637MHz.
Even though, it could run at everything Medium with a screen resoltion of 1280x1024. But i tried every resolution and graphics anyway just to see how it looked in all cases.

I am planning on upgrading to a Quad Core for this game. I am hoping that i won't have to upgrade to a GTX470 as well. :( But like Gizgar said, im expecting this release to be much more CPU intensive because that is the consoles "strong point". So im expecting a Core Two Quad to be recommended for Crysis 2, and hopefully a GTX285, as I dont want to upgrade by graphics card again already. :)
