Crysis 2's Problem

Post » Sat Jun 20, 2009 1:20 pm

I bought this game off ea for my pc, and hell, i would almost call it the best game of all time. ITS GREAT

However, the multiplayer is critically unbalanced, the Invisibility is just too strong. Every single player is just running around invisible and then raqes you when you go past. It is just a heavily unbalanced feat, and just like Armour Lock in Halo Reach, the invisibility damn near kills the game completely. I find it hard to enjoy this game when i cant see anyone cause they are all invisible.

ALSO servers are slighly laggy, especially killcams, but this isnt soo bad as the connection is still better than games like Homefront.

So i dont really know how you can fix the invisiblility problem, maybe not make them comepletely invisible and impossible to see? I dunno, but if you ever wonder why there arent many people playing this, its because the multiplayer is critcally broken by the ridiculously overpowered invisiblility.

I hope my voice is heard

are you sure those people don't use energy hack? with things like a silenced shotgun, they can fire once or twice before they decloak.

you do know cloaked enemies are even more vulnerable than unarmored ones?

pro tip:

-use NanoVision (N)
-look for a distortion. you're not invisible, you're highly transparent. with cloak upgrade, it gets harder to spot, but still invisible isn't perfectly invisible. i killed people over half the map because i noticed something was off, i shot and killed.

it's not overpowered. it's powerful, yes, but the only thing overpowered is the SCAR (and that's undeniable)

I felt the same way about cloak for the first week, then began to recognize the effect. I don't know how long you have been playing, but your eyes will begin to be able to spot cloaks at a reasonable distance. It's still annoying, but can be dealt with. Basically I have few personal rules: Armor before turning any corner, Armor inside any structure. Cloak only from cover to cover, armor all other times. In armor you will have a better than average chance of winning the fight with proper aim even if they get the first shot off. IMO.
