Crysis 1 on PS3: Switch L1/L2 and R1/R2 triggers

Post » Tue Nov 29, 2011 8:26 am

I just bought Crysis 1 on PS3 mainly because I prefer dualshock to XBox pad (I own both consoles). I found that I cannot switch controls, so I can aim with L2 and fire with R2. In Crysis 2 it was possible after patch, but it's nowhere to be found in Crysis 1 options. Crytek please, realese patch for Crysis 1 as soon as possible. If there are triggers on pad, then why not to use them? XBox users have it by default. Every shooter is much more enjoyable is you can shoot things proper way.

All I'm going to say, is that the Dualshock's 'triggers' are abysmal, and I have no idea why anyone would want to use them for shooting.

As for Xbox, they have the better controller by a mile, you should have bought Crysis on there.

Neeeh. Dualshock just feels better even though Xbox pad has better triggers. After 10+ years playing games on dualshock, Xbox pad feels too big and awkward. I played Crysis 2 beta on both consoles and chose PS3 version just because of it (+ free multiplayer after my gold subscription ends). All I want is to use triggers because that's what they are made for.

It's there, just go into the control settings, and press the Triangle button, theres a little sentence next that says it, but it's easily overlooked. I begged Crytek to implement this control scheme to Crysis 2 PS3 and they most certainly did it for Crysis 1 on the PS3. I can't say how much better it feels shooting with R2 and then moving my finger up to cloak and hide. But either way, the control scheme you look for is there!, just gotta hit triangle in the options for it to activate!
