What is up people? I recently saw the trailer for the Retaliation D.L.C add-on. Honestly, the add-on looks promising and fun. Seeing as how im enjoying this game, I will get the Maps day 1(I already have microsoft points reserved just for this D.L.C) Now, I dont want to sound like im on Crytek's genitilia or anything;however, people are confusing Crysis 2 with the cod series.

Call of Duty series(code name C.o.D) Is known for being a game in which the devs release the game, put out a few patches, put out DLC, completely abondon game once it is release, move on to the next game, and repeat! . Nevertheless, that is only because C.o.D is a game that is released anually(every year).

Crysis 2 is not that game! I fully expect the devs to support this game months, if not years, down the road. Is 10 bucks(800 MS points) a bit expensive for 4 maps? Possibly, but, thats for the end user to decide.

Hypocrisy: Most of you guys complaing are the same people that pay $15(1200 MS points) for Mw2 maps. I believed the B.Ops maps cost the same(I dont play that crap game so i would'nt know)

Why all the hate for Crytek and Crysis 2? Honestly, i dont know, it is possible that people may feel that they are going to pull an activision on us. I doubt that will happen though.

Patches: They take time. A patch is not the silver bullet many of you guys think it is. Everything cant be patched with one patch. Also, given the complexity of the Cryengine, it is evident that the patching process is time consuming.

Communication: Crytek's communication with the community is unexcusible. Their communication with the community has been mediocre at best. However, I will agree with them when they say that everything they have answered all your questions numerous times(people keep spamming the forums; hence, their replies are unseen by the majority)

STAY CALM, BE EASY, AND HERE IS TO THE UPCOMING DLC BEING RELEASED TOMORROW!!

I think map packs are stupid. I understand you love crytek would gladly make your nose a cry-suppository (just joking by the way because you disclaimered it), but 10$ is a lot considering the game hardly cycles past Terminal & Skyline anyway. I've only played on Evac ZOne 1 time since my last re-boot, and The one with the mall & water like twice (see I've forgotten the names). It is a terribly bad investment, and I can't believe that no one else has wondered how they plan on even getting you to the new maps.

The lobbies are small as is, and just imagine getting in a lobby with 10 people with the packs (probably same 10 people every time) you got to get past Terminal, impact, skyline, and those levels, and then if your lobby hasn't broken up, if one of those new maps goes up against terminal forget about it. Terminal can run for president, it always wins.

I have had no problems in Multiplayer besides 2 weird lag outs.

There for I will gladly buy the map pack.

I hope that Crysis 2 isn't like Halo when talking about DLC. In halo, you have to have all DLC to just play most of multiplayer.

Another note,

Crytek Map Pack = Crytek Profit = Helping towards patches

I would gladly purchase it regardless of the state the game is currently in merely because I still enjoy it a lot.

The reason I will not buy it day one is because I fear it will be pointless with the suspected low amount of people purchasing it. I will wait a week to see if the guys I usually play with buy them, and to see if the people who bought them can actually get full teams together on the new maps.
