Beside some bugs, textures and some other small problems, you cant deny that this is so far the best looking pc game to date, scroll to center for a good overall view of each picture

I know... I've been playing Crysis 1 today, and the graphics don't even compare. I am running Crysis 1 on a high resolution, and Crysis 2 on the lowest resolution, Crysis 2 is much more beautiful.

Moving objects also simply look better, for example the JAW when you pull it out. It all has depth to it.

At least someone took off the nostalgiagoggles. The Crysis 2 Models look much prettier. Even if the textures are on a lower resolution, the game is absolutely gorgeous when you don't focus on the minor things.

I agree, I think the graphics are fabulous. As I progressed through the campaign I was starting to wonder whether I was playing a different game to that described by all the haters.

I also think there is a large "nocebo" effect from the fact that C2 uses DX9, and lower resolution textures and shorter draw distances than C1. I loved C1 and Warhead, but let's face it the interiors looked rubbish, despite their "high res" textures. That said I do miss the physics of C1 – ie the much more destructible environments.

Beautiful screenshots, i like the game a lot already and dont understand why people are asking for high res textures, looking at these shots and even my game when playing honestly i don't see the need. Maybe at super high res it has some issues but i cant comment on that.

Also can you tell me how to take screenshots from Crysis 2. Which key is it.

I have always loved Crysis 1 but it has alot of low res textures as well. I know because I have been mapping and modding it from the beginning. I honestly do not see a difference in the texture detail. People keep posting that C2 uses 1/4 the size of textures but I don't see it. Also, the HD texture pack that someone on Crymod is working on doesn't look any better to me. Sorry but it just doesn't.

I havent used FRAPS but i heard its hard on the fps ingame. I will try MSI afterburner, heard it makes videos and takes screenshots too and is not causing any fps loss.

Yeah, people tend to forget that Crysis 1 really didn't have great textures either.

I suppose it's personal preference though. I just like the atmosphere of Crysis 1 better. No denying that Crysis 2 is a great looking game.

Beautiful game, and I am surprised that crytek could implement a DX9 version of their famous post processing engine (the rays when you look at the sun). I was amazed! To think that the game only requires half the resources for twice the visual stun... They have reached a very high standard, both performance wise and gameplay wise...

Too bad it seems like too much of a COD copy.
