Crysis Staff Should Monitor Matches

Post » Sat Jun 29, 2013 10:53 pm

Crysis staff should connect to random servers (anonymously) and monitor server/client actions to find hackers and ban them via Origin account ban. Even if it was complicated task, it isn't impossible. Other than that, I don't see any reason for the staff not to monitor servers/clients either by themselves or by certain other trustable people. (unless they really don't care about their own games, which they are building a reputation for)

Also, if they really don't care about the game, they should at least have the decency to release a mod SDK so we can deal with it ourselves (just like people did with Crysis Wars server-side anti-cheat mod)

DO NOT post anything negative unless it is constructive.

You'd think them saying that Data Patch G was the last patch(data?) would say something bout the number of staff left for C3 :/

Do want mod SDK tho

Crytek staff already have a player/server monitoring system that tracks player telemetry, line-of-sight, speed, aim time, time to kill, number of votekicks, difference in client/server movement data(eg Expected movement vs real movement) and other various points. It automatically flags players with suspicious stats so Fellblade or another MP developer can look into it.

If you mean getting people to manually monitor matches, that would be very expensive which would also make the game more expensive...

imho its a stupid idea.. n crytek did great job with anti cheat system in c3 mp.
maybe crytek can improve the current anti cheat system, or offer faster feedback to hacker reports etc, but manually monitor random servers??? lol

just report the cheater if u happen to see one.. instead of asking for some unrealistic bs.
