Hey guys

Ok, heres the deal, I bought Crysis way back when it came out first, lined up to get it the minute the shops opened, back when we bought games in shops.
Anyway, spent the weekend playing and finished it, put it away and go back to it now and again, but updating is a pain for me. I have a 2meg line on a good day and updating my game is a pain in the butt. I use steam and I see Crysis is back on it after EA pulled it originally, so I tried to enter and activate my game via steam but it doesnt recognize it, I was wondering, is it possible to get a steam activation code to go with my copy of the game? I know its doubtful but its worth a try. My mate has a backup of his copy of the game, up to date and said if I can get it working on Steam I can get his copy so I dont have to download it.
So, is it possible? I had Activision do it for me with my copy of Mirrors Edge I had on Steam, they activated a copy after I sent them all the details of my purchase and a screenshot of the game code.

Just chancing my arm, but, is there any hope? Or do i have to rebuy it. Seems like a waste.
