Crysis 2 on steam.. No good idea

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 4:59 am

Honestly , crysis 2 on steam is not good idea , steam can be easily hacked by some retard hackers
they have hacked my steam 2 times and i lost 1 game , somehow they deleted my game . So i am afraid to buy crysis 2 if it is on Steam ... if i get hacked and lose crysis 2 no one will not give back my 60 euros

So Crysis 2 is better to be alone without steam , like crysis , crysis warhead and crysis wars was .... but those became steam games after some time >.>

If there is a way to Buy Crysis 2 without Steam pls Tell me , i wanna know

If you buy it retail or in another online store, it won't use Steam. :)

there are these places called "retail stores", i don't know if you've been out of your house lately but you can go and buy stuff from these stores, even Crysis 2.

as for your question: simply put, yes, yes you can...

Crysis has never required steam you'll be happy to hear :) As for your steam being hacked, you need to be more careful in the future, as there are ways to get your account back if something happened to it

Getting an account hacked is really something you should guard against. There's no way they would have hacked the main steam servers and they certainly wouldn't have randomly targeted you.

Therefore in future don't inadvertently give out steam information, or share the password with other more easily hackable accounts.

As mentioned, Steam is just another way to purchase Crysis 2 but not the only way. We want to give everyone the ability to use their favourite place to buy games and that includes Steam for many gamers :)

sorry about you being hacked but steam is perfectly fine way to purchase the game, yes there will be hackers and people who pirate the game but thats to be expected with every game. more people will purchase the game then people who will steal it. THEY! don't effect the sales because they had no intention in buying the game in the first place they were probably going to pirate it anyway.

I've never had a problem with Steam, it has always been safe and good quality.

Besides, Crysis 2 is not available on Steam Japan - typical publishing bullshine.

If you are hacked on steam it's your own fault because you have a ridiculous easy to guess password or you shared your password with someone, or you have some malware in your system (troyan, backdoor, key recorder or such) and consistently refuse to have a good and not pirated antivirus/firewall suit (like outpost or karpersky).

Also, every time someone got hacked (their fault), Valve support has restored the account to it's owner without any other issue. Of course this people learned from this and now are more careful.

Exactly, most people have no problems with Steam. Personally i hope that future Crysis games (like "Crysis 2: I want a direct continuation of Crysis 1 story"?) will use Steamworks.

Besides, Crysis 2 is not available on Steam Japan - typical publishing bullshine.

Well, it's because more people will buy it in countries you didn't know even existed, than in Japan. You are the weirdest market in the world.

Steam is fine. You got hacked because you are prone to user error.

Those are games that offer the online backup option via Steam (Valve's own titles, including Portal, fall into that category). While some folks hate that, there is, believe it or not, a VERY good reason for it - it preserves playability for as long as Steam exists. Case in point - I bought the Half-Life Platinum Pack (an ancestor of the Orange Box) several computers ago. As is usually the case when you have multi-CD collections, one or more CDs either becomes unusable or disappears. (So NOT fun - but Stuff Happens.) I bought the Platinum Pack retail (from GameStop, in fact), but had registered it with my Steam account. That means I can re-download the entirety of the HLPP on any computer that has Steam installed merely by logging on to my account.

And without having physical access to the media.

Such games don't have to be Steamworks titles (as I mentioned, the HLPP is one of them, and all the games in the HLPP predate Steamworks) - however, ask yourself this - why DO you hate it?

Steam is one of the Safest platform where you can buy games.

The only way you can get hacked is if you got a Trojan and a Trojan who steals Steam datas is mostly in Cheats

Dude, PaiSand is right, if your steam account get's hacked, it's because you password is too damn simple, for my steam password, I use one of my old AKO passwords, which are 12 digits long, with 2 lower case, 2 upper case, 2 numbers, and 2 symbols, granted you don't need something that crazy, but if nothing else, go download a password generator, that'll help you come up with a password that's hard to guess.

or you have some malware in your system (troyan, backdoor, key recorder or such) and consistently refuse to have a good and not pirated antivirus/firewall suit (like outpost or karpersky). Get McFee, I have very little problems with it, other than the fact it take 2 or 3 days to go through my 1.5 TB of data.

Releasing Crysis 2 on Steam is a good idea, cause you can preload it, and on the day of release, you can play it when it unlocks, which is really nice cause you don't have to wait very long to play it, unlike me who has to wait until 1000 before I can go pick up my copy.

Sorry, but your wrong, hackers can't access Valves database, they hacked you because your a either a little gullible child (Judging by the way you described them "retarded hackers" sounds like an child in anger) or you're password is too easy or it was possibly a virus. Hackers can also not remove games from your account. Either there was a purchase issue with your credit card or bank, regardless of what it was hackers cannot remove games from you're account. Another stupid thing you've said. No offence.

So i am afraid to buy crysis 2 if it is on Steam ... if i get hacked and lose crysis 2 no one will not give back my 60 euros

Like I said Crysis 2 will still be on your account.

So Crysis 2 is better to be alone without steam , like crysis , crysis warhead and crysis wars was .... but those became steam games after some time >.>

Sorry, but you just sound like a desperate child. Your spelling and grammar just kind of show it. A proper advlt and a true Crysis fan would've already known that Crysis is available in both retail and Digital stores.

Considering the Nano Edition contains physical items, any mature and fully grown person would kind of guess that it would be dumb if Crysis 2 was digital only.

I don't mean to be rude. Sorry, I just felt the need to say what I thought.

Sorry for being harsh. You do know America isn't the only place where people use English.

Anyway, your on a forum, regardless of your knowledge of the English vocabulary. I still wouldn't use short text on here. Like, plz, thx etc.

I'd say they are most suitable for either text messaging or instant messaging. On a forum you don't have to replay fast, just use REAL English words, it makes your English look better too :) and you seem less of a 13 year old. (THIS IS A MESSAGE FOR A LOT OF GUYS HERE)
