Crysis 2 1.9. Stuttering and unable to load Savegames

Hi!

1st problem: I installed the 1.9 Patch with HiRes textures and DX11. After that I'm unable to load existing or even new Savegames. The Game starts normaly und I can play, but if I want to load a Checkpoint the Game freeze und stoped working with a Windows 7 Massage:

"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available"

2nd problem: On DX9 + HiRes @ Ultra, evereything works just fine, but turning on DX 11 causes stuttering even on high frames. Fraps shows me 50 Frames but it stutters. No frame drops ore somthing like this. Hard to explain...
I turned off AMD optimized tesselattion in the CCC an it helps a little bit, but its still unplayable.

Turning from Ultra to Low graphic settings the Frames won't change, they are still at 50 (average).

My System:

Intel E8400 @ 3.7 GHz
8GB RAM
AMD HD 6870
WIN 7 Prof

Any Idea?

I have exact same problem from saving. reinstall the game is not the case the result. win7 x64/e8400/4gb/gtx470

Hi have the same problem. Identic problem.

WIN 7 Pro 64bit

Try to make a fresh install of the system, and upgrade all the driver to the latest version. Nothing changed!

+1 to stuttering... In daytime (usually during lunch hour) I would try to play a little using my old computer (E6850 + 8800GTS). 2 1280x720 with high setting, I used to be able to run smooth enough to be able to play ok... now with 1.9, this computer stutters like mad... and I completely cannot react to what happens in the game...

However, with my actual gaming computer at home (i7-870 @ 3.62GHz + GTX480 @ 835MHz), the game runs smoothly even with high texture and DX11.

I got the same problem.I am using WinXP Home 32-bit.When I loaded a saved game, error massage was shown and the game shut down.I reinstalled the game but it didn't work.I have to start the single player mode with selecting a chapter and I do not want to die because the game will crash again when I load the checkpoint!!!I just concentrating on the multiplayer mode and but Crytek you should fix the problem for us!!!

I have this exact same problem. Crysis 2 on steam, updated by steam to 1.9, then dx 11 ultra patch and hi-res pack. Now cannot load any savegame ( hangs with HDD regular flashing, Ctrl-alt-del shows application has stopped working box) , old or new but can start the game by replaying from the start of each "chapter". This seems to be a growing issue searching the various forums.

Win 7 64 bit, 4gb ram, HD5770 1GB (cat 11.6), Athlon x3 2.7Ghz

Works fine after patching on my other PC ( just patch 1.9+Dx11 ultra patch for extra DX9 effects)
Win 7 64bit, 4GB RAM, HD4770 512 MB (cat 11.6), Athlon x3 2.7ghx

Any thoughts? Have reinstalled to no effect.

i can barely play dx9 extreme + hq off dx11 off.
with dx11 on and hq text on all on ultra fps are good between 25/50 but Microstuttering all over.

Win 7 HP 32 bit, E8400, 4850 512, 2gb RAM, dx9 mode, installed only 1.9 patch.

Interessenting... with my E8400 @ 3.7 (and even on 3.6) and HD 6870 the DX9 Mode runs with HiRes and Ultra setting VERY smooth! Can't imagine that my rig runs better than yours.

However, @ DX11 it is impossible to play...

Me too error2k4.

I run it very smooth. I have stuttering only with DX11 activated, and sicerely I note a bit performance increase from 1.8 patch. I'm happy for it. But savegames issues is so bad!

8Gb Ram@851 Mhz
XFX Radeon HD5870 1Gb @ 1300/910 Mhz (1250 mV)
SSD Vertex 2

Running 1920x1080 with DX9 Ultra + HiRes Texture

Youve all got 1 thing in common, youve all got dual core CPU's, my quad core runs at 50% playing Crysis 2

What's the difference between a quad @ 50% and a dual @ 100%?. Ok I now what you want to say.

I could accept low frames but I can't run DX11 on ANY setting. I've got the same frames on low or ultra graphic settings. Even the same on 1280 x 1024 and 800 x 600.

The Stuttering persist alway... no matter what I do. It's kinda strange that to see it stutter when Fraps shows me 35 FPS. Agree?

With regard to the frustrating save game issue. I have tried reinstalling, turning off dx11 and not using the hi-res texture pack. No problems at all running from a replay level start, just won't load any checkpoint saves as described above.

Same problem here, I think it is an issue with ATI cards, although not ATI's fault I think something got skipped over. I am running phenom quad procs at 3.2ghz a 2gb 5870 and 8 gb of ram with windows 7 64 bit. This should be more than enough to run this game smoothly, I am even running it with every thing on low and dx 11 turned off and 1440x900 res and even when my fps are at 80 or 100 I still get stutter and a chuggy feeling to the game. Something isn't right here and I really don't think its our systems.

I try Catalyst 11.7 Early but nothing change. Last checkpoint saved doesn't load...as already sayed.

Is this a problem with ATI really? mmmmm.....

...then try creating a new profile and start a new campain with the default game setting...nothing changed...

Game run really smooth but doesn't save checkpoints.

I try offline mode with Steam too....nothing.

Now I think i will visit my favourite porm web site. Is better than wait for Crytek's help....

I don't think so. This is nVidia owner with the same issue.
