Because of general technology improvements i'm saying it'll be slightly higher than that of Crysis 1......but when you really think about it, most of the people who REALLY enjoyed crysis 1 did it with the most beastly of computers

^ I think because of the technological improvements it will be slightly -lower- than Crysis1. They've had to get the game to run on consoles, which is probably enough evidence in itself, even though console games can be optimised beyond crazy lengths.

i realllllly hope its lower. just so that a playable 60fps on the highest settings are possible. i use tri sli gtx260 for crysis wars and still would never play multiplayer on high due to poor perofrmance.

what i would LOVE to see is a similar thing to the COD games, seperate settings for single player and multiplayer.

so i can hav my single player looking all pretty and my multiplayer ready for performance xD

As long as you can play Crysis, Crysis 2 should run on you're PC. Warhead ran a little better then Crysis did and Crysis 2 will probably run better then Warhead did.
Still, Crysis at 25fps at 1920X1080 with very high settings on a gtx 280 is still playable, at least, for me :).

I don't get why you would change the processor every single time, why not just the frequency? An intel core 2 duo at 4.0ghz would easily handle Crysis as long as you had the right video card.

On paper it should be LESS demanding that Crysis 1. However, we don't know if the config files for "very high" in Crysis 1 will be the same as in Crysis 2. For example, they could drop the view distance or something to increase performance.

If the engine IS rendering the same amount of stuff, it should still run better. Basically, I'm thinking:

Core 2 duo @ 2.0ghz
2gh ram
8800GT or better (or ATI equiv.)

No idea on HDD space or anything...

We've been told of lower requirments I think. That or it's easier to run (as in more FPS)

if crysis 2 will need more powerfull spec. the only way to play it in very high is gtx480sli without going under 60fps.

I hope they are trying to optimize it to the best of their abilities. I mean a main reason crysis 1 failed in the sales department is because of High system requirements. I hope the game will run nicely on a wide array of builds and systems. We'll see though.

I would have a question, you know as well Crysis 2 on 9600 Gt will run on high in 1280 x in 1024. One said already to the press, the Crysis 2 should better run than Crysis. Now I would hear with pleasure from the Admins how well Crysis 2 will run. If you have, actually, already the minimum demands to Crysis 2. Mine are only estimated and, unfortunately, this does not last.

Please, nevertheless, you know what, if it is only one small info, one should not keep waiting a fan better.
