Now, we have all seen many a game destroyed by its video counterpart after being promised so much and given so little. Where we have also seen others become famous becaue of them, such as res 2 (in my opinion). So, is it me or could crysis actually make a decent film? Dont follow the games exactly just mix um up a bit and add a hench storyline other than die alien die (but 4 games thats all you need ) and i think it could be pretty decent. When they release the sdk for it im looking forward to any kind of thing the community can make, just like people have for hl2

Meh, not really a good idea. Crytek has had their run-in with game movies already and it was pretty unpleasant (Far Cry). If Crysis 2 is as good of a story as Richard Morgan claims it will be, then a movie wouldn't be such a bad idea. I don't think Crysis 1 would be that good of a movie though.

crysis 1 could be a decent movie, but it'd need some significant changes (who wants to watch one guy kill a ton of people with out saying anything?)

Actually no changes are required, they could just show what happened to prophet or what psycho did (before warhead)

It would make a decent movie, but Hollywood would mess it up somehow. Either completely alter the story (Doom for example) or give the script to a bad director (like Far Cry).

With the game coming out on other platforms it will get more exposure and could grow popular enough to inspire a film- maybe.

It may well have potential as a movie, some things would have to chamge though, and as cry-baby said, look what a hash they made of Doom with production changes.

Yeah, they made a Far Cry movie, it's supposedly being aired on Sky Premier 1 in the UK this week, pity I don't have that channel any more! But I heard it's not so good.

Game to film adaptation are horrible, I don't really know any that did well (Except Max Payne, although that was decent). But if Crysis did, I doubt it would do so well.

they should make a CG crysis movie. that would be awesome there cant be any cheezy or bad acting in a CG movie and the original voices from C1 would be cool
