I want a benchmark instead of a demo for the sole reason of all these spammers and whiners here in this thread and forum. :P

Hi Guy's,

Hey go easy on me, i was just prompting a response, is all, im all up for a demo just like y'all, if it comes to fruition, yea course i want in, i aint knocking the idea,

Just saying that, if I get a supermaket taster its a morsel of the actual product, and with the cologne, as for test drives, wel hell gone are the days u got a twenty mile drive around before deciding,i get a new motor every 3 yrs, and believe me, i think its well tite now

your more likely her to get no mor than 3 miles outa those svckers, so the comparison i was making infact, is Crytek, have given us plenty to chew on by comparison, including an Eggbox Beta, i mean hell I dont even got an Eggbox but I got the invite dammit, lmao,

Cryrek have given lots of info, prolly too much info for my liking, i want to find most of it ingame so to speak, but hell yea, im not dissing the idea of a demo, or a beta, and i wanna be a part of it should it arise, but my whole point was, i dont think its worth me hanging myself over, if that dont happen such is my confidence in Crytek as i have not been in anyway dissaointed with thier product.

and on one car purchase, TBH, the model i wanted hadnt changed much, from my previouse same model, I liked it so much that yes i did just order up anothe one, this is something many people actually do as they were so pleased with the last car.

I think though the point has been well raised and pushed home, and very much noted regarding our feelings on this matter now, so lets just rest in hope, and see what develops.

And plzzzzz guy's dont take me so seriously, my life comparisons, are more humour than anything.

Best regards

Guss

I think we all need to remember the marketing for Crysis 1. I'm sure none of us want something like that to happen again. When you see footage of the final boss fight before the game is actually released, you got a problem.

We need more like a 1-5 mins to be sure sweetie. Another purpose for the demo.

I also think that a demo is great for people that only care about Singleplayer, whereas only having a multiplayer beta can leave some people's interests in the dust permanently.

Hopefully a demo does not cost any money like Cevat said he was thinking about in the past, as that would not be either ethical or profitable for the company.

The sweet point is, if they need to spread word of Crysis 2 effectively, they should give the ps3/xbox console people a chance to see much of this game via a demo released and plus those people spread the word about how good it is or bad. The pc people (Including us) will not have a problem because most pc players hear about crysis games because its used a lot as a benchmark. Cryteks best bet is to release a demo or beta for the consoles and pc to get more people talking about it and telling each other to download it and try it out.

Thats just my needed point on whats going on and how it can be fixed, by simply fulfilling most peoples hopes on here and to get more heads into the action by putting a demo. possibly a commercial as well.

A demo/demonstration, gives its public/people a chance to see what their product can do. With a more hands on approach, as the people can use it themselves. The same goes for a game as good a Crysis 1/2, the graphics pushed the limit for Pc's and gaming for years to come and that was the year 2oo7, almost 3 years ago. Crysis 1's demo was already a great gift to gamers from CryTek, so much was done with such a single level. Sandbox gameplay was forever re-defined. A demo for Crysis 2 would change the way we look at consoles, along with Pc gaming, if it was ever made.

(CryTek, pls read this.)

I'm building a new rig just for Crysis 2. It'd be nice to have a demo out about a month before initial release, give us time to benchmark and tweak our rigs, I'll be back soon.

This just doesn't make sense. They're going to have one hell of an uproar. And what do you know at the end of the day, we want to know what the game feels like, looks like, plays like, so a demo would be crucial.

But getting back to the topic, a demo is way overdue.
A demo would usually come around before the release date's month and that is what most people say. It gets the people's blood pumped up.

My personal thoughts:

There wont be a beta, because it's just 2 months to release.
If I will do a beta I should do it earlier so there is still time to fine tune the game.

On the other hand I do think there will be a Demo for all 3 platforms.

This is what I think and is not written in stone.
Cant wait for a official massage from Crytek!

Next time sweetie, read the title of a thread.

I hope there will be a demo. Ultimately though, it ends up being a business decision and/or a question of whether they have time to get one ready prior to release.

So far, this game just sounds like a whole bunch of svck. There being very secretive, which usually means the games not going to be what everyone wants. No demo, because they want the fan boys to go buy it first day, sight unseen. No PC screen shots or demos. Its like they're terrified of showing what the PC version looks like, because its nothing but an Xbox port. And they know it. This is definitely not going to be a Crysis 2. More like an Xbox shooter and a PC port. Maybe one day, they'll actually come out with a PC only game worthy of being called Crysis 2. This is not going to be it.
