Crysis 2: The Importance of a Demo - for all Platforms

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 5:45 am

Back to the Pc demo, it's in Mp as announced recently. Yet what about the tiny possibility for an Sp demo for the pc. Mp will be hard to access as long as the requirement for multiple players is needed and an Sp demo would give us all a theatrical look into crysis 2 for the best bit.

I agree, an Pc Sp demo would be much preferred for some. While the Mp demo will get at few bugs out of their way and give us a chance to test our computers soon.

Be happy that they at least released a demo so that they could find faults within the game, not like another game we all know too well, Black Ops. I really don't mind not playing crysis 2 because there are still lots of faults with it. Think of it this way, Crytek are using all the xbox 360 players as guinea pigs to find faults within the game, all the ps3 and pc users get the proper final version and relax, they'll probably release an Sp demo as soon as all the platforms get a Mp test/demo, then we can have a look into crysis 2 like never before.

I'm happy that the PC will get a demo and I can agree that we can get to test out our machines for specs etc... but once again, PS3 users get stiffed. "Oh, PS3 is the lead platform" where the heck are the screenshots, videos and demo for the PS3 then? This really confirms to me that we'll get the worst version (due to the lack of information about the PS3 version) which always (well most of the times) is true. This is one game I really looked forward to on the PS3 and not even to get a sniff of it for the said console is well out of order Crytek, but some people still remain optimisitc about a demo for the PS3, whereas my hopes and dreams are well and truly dashed!

Have a little faith, Crytek made a Pc demo after the out cry from their community of the recent 360 demo. There is still a chance for the Ps3 to have some light shed into it soon. The Pc got thru, what wil make the Ps3 any different. Crysis 2 is for all paltforms.

That's the spirit, for Crytek and for Crysis 2. The Pc demo has been re-confirmed and announced in the news section. Meaning there isn't much to worry about from this point onwards.

Age doesn't mean much with computer components. Essentially you're laptop needs to be able to run crysis (which, unless you paid a lot for it, because it's a laptop, then you may have some trouble).

Depends on your specs. But I ran Crysis pretty smoothly at about 15 fps at medium on an low end, new laptop when Crysis 1 first came out, and that was three years ago. CryEngine 3 is supposed to be much more FPS friendly, so I would assume a good, 2 year old laptop could probably run it without frames skipping.

Let's all get back to the demo discussion please. We still have a Pc demo for Mp and/Sp on the way. With a missing Ps3 demo to boot, so let's try our best here to continue with this demo discussion as best as what we can. For Crysis 2 and the Crysis 2 demo! :)

OK so the screams and chants seem to have worked, or maybe it was always the plan, who knows,
The thing is, some of the gamers here ran off a bit at the mouth, andf the Crytek team took it all,
Anyone feel like giving some kinda appologie??
been here from start like Talon and some others, never lost faith in what was offered, now look at your site, its bloody great pplz, and look at the Demo, and enjoy it all, but plz have a little faith in future, only directed at those few who gave hell to Crytek< they didnt deserve it.

They won't. Some people are just to selfish to admit their mistakes and never used the word "sorry" ever in their live. Maybe there are some (I don't know, I'm no mentalist... CHRIS ANGEL !!) who will apologie.

Crytek you are great. Enough said ;D

And some people are just bloody fanboys. The world is a cold, dark place these days, and you got to kick a little ass ( and threaten in an economic way ) if you want something done. I am pretty sure if me and others hadn't yelled, we would not have gotten a demo. All this pushing of the XBox stinks like ****. Money changed hands somewhere. Not that I blame Crytek too much. Its just business.

Crytek has done a wonderful job. I also apologized earlier for the havoc this thread caused in some of the earlier pages of this thread. I understand your insights guys, don't worry ;) All we can do now is discuss.

Please, can you release a demo for ps3 too?
We have never seen any crysis 2 video (but just a screenshot -.-), so i think that the ps3 version will be horrible if you won't release any demo or video...so please release a demo for ps3 too!
Having a demo for each platform is a really important thing...

Let them work out the issues first. Then I'll think long and hard about buying this. Still skeptical at this point.
