Crysis 3 is the worst game for new players.

So I was bored one night and decided to nano-suit re-boot to see what it was like, what it was like to be a noob again.

I used to pull decent scores at the end of rounds, always going positive with at least 3+k/d.

Using the starting equipment, I am getting my **** kicked in.

I'm struggling to even go positive! And I know how to play the game to an in-depth degree.

This game is ALL about unlocks and gadgets, not skill. You still need skills to make use of that equipment, but if you don't have it then you're going to get screwed.

Laser sights and muzzle breaks, Essential kit for your gun when everyone else has them, but they are usually the last few unlocks of the weapon, Grind grind grind grind grind grind grind..

Perk leveling is also rediculous, further widening the gap between people who have been playing along time and new players.

So Crytek's attempts to make the game more accessible failed, and ended up making it even harder than Crysis 2 to get into.

One of the main reasons for this failure is **** guns in custom classes, Why not do it Crysis 2 style where players are given the most OP gun (SCAR) at the start of the game?

Perk leveling is rediculous, further widening the gap between people who have been playing along time and new players.

I really feel that the Multiplayer was completely driven by EA, Whereas in Crysis 2 it felt like Crytek had to have MP but tried to create something really special with it, With Crysis 3 it feels abit forced with the insane amount of grinding.

the game is hard for literal noobs.
nano reboots, i have to disagree.
you should still get a positive kd even without all your unlocks.

Agree ^^
Use the default class that as the Marshal. In doing so you have then got the speed boost with the Moveabilaty mod.
OK the Marshal is OK but it will not help you all the way,so pick up a dropped weapon then use your shotty for back up.

It is a little strange at first when you reboot b/c you are still playing as though you have all the equipment unlocked.
But it does not take long to rank up plus with this weekends double XP I am supprised not to see more people rebooting.

I was going to do my 5th reboot but I am under going my skill assessments and do not want to waste all the work I have done.
Besides I have done my Tour of Duty when it comes to rebooting :)

When you get to rank 5 (or have the Hunter Edition, where you start at that level) the first thing you should do is create a custom class and throw away auto armor!

Then you should create a class with the SCARAB + Proximity Alarm + Weapon Pro + another module (except AA)...

At rank 9 you unlock the FY, and at level 19 I think you get Maneuverability..

:) That's the way I played through my 5 suit reboots.

Errrrm no. Not even close.

Yes the attachment/module system is very punishing for newbies, yes it is an extremely stupid system (I ranted tons about it back during Alpha/Beta)...but in the end it is MASSIVELY off-set by the availability of Auto Armor, complete lack of energy management and abundance of OHK weapons.

Well the stats beg to differ my friend, Crysis 3 has less than half the population of Medal of Honor Warfighter and that game was officially dropped By EA.

I still find it amazing the level of activity of the mods/devs on this forum with the population that Crysis 3 has, there's some real love and passion there.

I don't think the stats have anything to do with the game being unfriendly for newbies.

If you want proof of that, look at Battlefield 3. On average a newbie who is new to the Battlefield series will get SLAUGHTERED, he'll die around 30 times in a typical conquest match and be lucky if he even gets 5 kills because running n' gunning simply doesn't work like it does in other shooters.
He will be clueless on how vehicles completely skew the scenarios/balance, he'll be clueless how to operate any vehicles, he'll be clueless about how insanely teamwork-heavy the game is, he won't get the critical differences between the different kits and how the gameplay can change depending on the kit you're using, the gun mechanics take getting used to, he'll have no clue how suppression/bullet-drop works, the maps are HUGE and awareness/positioning is everything, etc etc.
It's a game where someone can spend 500+ hours mastering a helicopter/jet/tank and pretty much rain death on the poor sods who are unfortunate enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. And this isn't even counting in the weapon attachment/unlock system which is basically like Crysis 3 but even MORE dragged-out.
Overall the game is possibly the least newbie-friendly game in existence and yet some people say that previous Battlefield games were even less newbie-friendly.

...aaaaand despite all that, BF3 is still being played by more than 100,000+ players at any given minute.

one thing to survive in this game is pay attention to all spots/whole map, in crysis2 you can actually separate each map to 3zones, here are players moving too fast so at some maps you are not able to predict their location add autoarmor + laser and you are f***up, u need really fast reflexes to have nice kd or just easiest weapons

crysis2 is for me very easy cuz suit energy management, but I love this fast gameplay

I am starting feeling like 144hz is enough for me haha.

try to use grendel it will force you think/aim better

I actually left C3 for a while and gave BF3 a solid shot. Man that was a mistake. That game is so boring. Get 10+ kills in a row.... boring. Get 10 deaths in a row... frustrating and boring. Maps on CQ and Rush are too big. Don't tell me about vehicles. They are always gone and/or destroyed. Snipers rule those matches. If you like realism over fun you'll enjoy BF3. If you like fun mixed with realism you'll like CoD. If you just want to have pure fun, Crysis is it. I love this game and I feel terrible about ever playing BF3. Steaming pile of monotanous poop.
