tournament sounds pretty cool. though it shows that there aren't as many clans as I thought there would be

4 vs 4 kinda svcks, I have a tonne of great players in my clan wanting to play and you want me to just pick 4 of them!? It's not fair on my clan having to pick only the best players so the rest think they are not good enough...

I said for bigger clans you could admit multiple teams under one clan name. So if you want you can admit like 3 teams from SiTH

For sure we are interested to participate at this tournament to have a lot of fun together ... great idea

- friendly fire enabled -> normal, so OK
- deflection disabled -> for sure, OK

Some weapons should be forbidden:
- HMG
- L-TAG
- JAW
- C4

So it would be very similar to the ESL rules, which have proved one's worth (ESL = electronic sports ligue)

One question to the servers:
Will the tournament be played at US server? ... so we (european/germans) would be at a disadvantage concerning the ping!

Perhaps it's possible to make two rounds, so every team can play one time at their own server?

For that we only need the server settings that everyone can manage the own server.

@Masterdid: Next thing you're gonna tell me is no modules. I really don't want to be mean, but the biggest reason we host our own tournaments is to leave most of the game intact. We know all about ESL, I played in it for a very short portion. It messes with what makes this game unique. Sure C4 is annoying, but you got to deal with it. In terms of the server, it's probably going to be US East. I don't want to lie to you to get involved in this tournament, so you'll probably be at a disadvantage. Like I said, a lot of this stuff is in speculation, so nothing is solid yet.

That's all we want ... so modules are a must, because that is the most thing that makes this game unique. With C4 we can deal with, as you said it's annoying, but it's the smallest problem. HMG, L-TAG and JAW are one-hit weapons which are killing every respectable gameplay and tournament. If these weapons are allowed, MoD don't want to participate anymore. The most of us are very experienced players, me for e.g., I have been playing ego shooters since more than 18 years now, for us it's not necessary to take part at every tournament, if, we want to play with respectable rules, so fun would be guaranteed.
Servers: Where is the problem, that every team brings their own server with them ... post the server settings and everything will be ok ... and nobody has to deal with ping disadvantages.

Anyway it's your decision. I will follow this thread frequently, I guess it would be no problem to give you our pledge later this month, if we want to participate again by some worth considerings rule changes
