WOW! I'm shocked. **** *** Crytek. You officially svck.

I guess that rumor of Crysis coming to consoles was actually Crysis 3. What a joke. If they don't fix Crysis 2 they can forget about me getting Crysis 3. Money grubbing *** *****.

Good find arthur.

I also find it very disrespectful of Crytek to communicate openly on twitter with fan sites and the like, but they can't even so much as say anything of substance on their own community website.

Apparently they are all too self righteous to communicate with us.

What was the point of creating the gamesas website...they've completely abandoned it...just like they've abandoned the console community. Goddamn european rats!

I'm gonna rent Crysis3...just to see if the 'grain bug' shows up...probably will.

sooo how long is this silent treatment gonna last Crytek?

While I've had very frustrating moments with Crysis 2, I love the game. If this is indeed true, I have nothing but disgust for Crytek.

However, because I enjoy the game so much, I will definitely purchase 3 (unless of course they decide to just call it quits with the multiplatforming and go right back to PC exclusive), but you can bet your ass I'll be buying it pre-owned. I will not directly fund this company anymore. I will definitely GameFly it before I even bother finding a pre-owned copy as well.

Go to hell Crytek.

Crytek should go crawl back under the rock where they came from!

I regret supporting this company.

They are ridiculous!

No developer, and I've been gaming for some 25 years, has ever irritated me as much as Crytek. As Stabnk86 so eloquently put it, GO TO HELL CRYTEK.

I ain't buying it until they make an official press release. These are just rumors, so no need to get all "Go to hell Crytek" before they have actually said that they are going to start making Crysis 3.

Being one of the older people here and probably one of the more cynical I think Crysis 2 is fscking dead in the water, sadly. Not cost-effective / not enough ROI for them to patch it. I'm not even sure that Crysis 3 will be coming to console as I type this, as I get the feeling their console development team is actually an acne-ridden 14 year old in a basemant somewhere wearing a Red Dwarf t-shirt with a basic understanding of C or C++.

He's some guy who runs a German fansite. People this is nothing but a rumour started by him. Crytek are supposed to be making an announcement at GamesCon this year, thats all the info is. Apart from this fellow posting info on twitter every other gaming site I know of is expecting a Crysis for consoles release date. This is because a recent ESRB rating chart has Crysis listed for 360 and PS3, and was a new chart not an old one, indicating a new release.

So peeps hold fire, its a hoax.

But if it isn't, what the hell are you thinking crytek. If you do start on crysis 3 I would have lost all my respect for your company.

Yeah, rumour.

Nothing's been confirmed. I'd say hold the forks. Regardless though, it seems Crysis 2 is done for. I think this is the longest spell without any moderation, or posts by Crytek staff. Or am I wrong?

If they are making a crysis 3 it's most likely for the next generation consoles. I can't see them wasting there time again for the current models.

I highly doubt they will be announcing Crysis 3 before the next generation of consoles are announced they've already maxed out the current gen making Crysis 3 now would be stupid.

If there is anything we have learned about Crytek the last months, is the fact that they are stupid.

Clock 3 56 Crysis: Crytek Reveals New soon to Crysis 2's successor? Are there at gamescom 2011 Crysis 3-revelation? In an interview with founder Avni Yerli, Crytek have (Managing Director) and Cry-Engine 3's Director of Global Business Development, Carl Jones, relevant hints to a 2 successor made Crysis. Here there are different impressions on Crysis 2 Crysis 3-predecessor The screenshots created using the DirectX 11 patch. (1) Crysis a 3-revelation is probably only a matter of time. Crysis is one of the flagships of the Crytek development studios in Frankfurt and will continue to operate in previously undisclosed form. An announcement or the first details to follow soon. The founder Avni Yerli revealed Crytek (Managing Director) and Cry-Engine 3's Director of Global Business Development, Carl Jones, in a recent interview. In the wording: "Crysis is obvious to us a very important brand so we will continue Crysis We do not have any details disclosed to the public, but they soon could get relevant information..." Nowgamer.com conducted the interview after the Crysis DirectX 11 patch release for Crysis 2 The Crytek boss keep the featured DX11 features for Crysis 2 is still a long way for the end of the flagpole. The developers have incorporated all claimed features that go far beyond tessellation effects. Have seen effects that players in other games have not yet. DirectX 11 has opened the doors to developers for future projects, even on next-generation hardware. Such a project would forever Crysis 3. This may already be for gamescom 2011 so far. Of course we'll keep you informed

Yup, terrible english translation via gooogle. However its as far as I can tell again just supposition. It basically says that crytek have stated they plan to make a third game but we have known that since C1 was launched really. Even back then they said Crysis would be a multi-title franchise and a showcase for its engines capabilities. Everything else is supposition and gossip rolled up to look like fact.

So what!!!!!

the only way i will buy this brand new at full price is if Crytek fix Crysis 2 NOW!

other than that i'll hire it just to complete the story.

or, if the price drops to like £15-£20 then i may pick it up depending what i hear about the online mode.
One snippet of what's been happening with Crysis 2 happening to Crysis 3 then it will defo be a rental for campaign.

Honestly, even if they do reveal Crysis 3 soon and decide to leave Crysis 2 as it is now, I would still buy Crysis 3 merely because the campaign is almost guaranteed to be very good, I just cannot guarantee I will be playing the multiplayer as much as I have played this, if I will play it at all.
