Hey guys dont know if its just me but steam just downloaded a update for Crysis 2 I checked now my version is 1.2 what was the update for cant find no patch notes.

Well, in the multiplayer menus it says Crynet systems 1.2.0.0 now.. so that could mean it's more than just security updates?

Dont think this was the anti cheat update because my version was 1.1 now its 1.2 and the update was arnd 41.0 mb or so.

Anti Cheat was definitely in place before this update, the dev console checks a list of files for mismatches...that part of the update was server side and not client side it seems.

Mine still says 1.1.0.0 though

How do you update without Steam anyway? I don't know an official place for patches to be uploaded, and I have no idea where the autoupdater tool is. It's not the stupid EA download manager, is it? Do I REALLY have to create an account with them just because I bought a retail copy? ?_?

I also got the patch on Steam just now, and can only find 3 servers. Anyone know what the patch fixed? Can't see any info on gamesas yet...

I just got this update too. In the 'Game' text file it now says 1.2; now to see if it did anything....

i already had it installed due to sims 3, but i have no idea how to associate crysis 2 with it, if thats the way to update it that is?

If you have bought the game on Steam, it should be downloaded automatically.

More likely they're putting some files in place required for 1.2 tomorrow or something. Steam just doesn't accidentally update something.

ok, first patch put the game to 1.2 then second one put it back to 1.2.

WTF lol
