CRYSIS WARS - does anyone plays it?

Post » Sat Aug 20, 2011 3:16 pm

I had enough of cheaters ruinig almost every game on Crysis 2 servers. Maybe they are fans of other shooters, maybe they just has a small cock or a small brain, or both; I don't know the exact cause.
I want to know if anyone is interested to play Crysis Wars, once again. There are very few cheaters.

I have been thinking about it, at least there was punkbuster to keep track of things, and i did think it worked pretty decent.

Tho i have to admit, i really do like the lvl in crysis 2, the way u can personalize your playing style with both weapons upgrade and suit upgrades.
But i allso have to admit, crysis wars was fun, and fair.

i might go there to see if its still alive :)

C2 has server side punkbuster or the crytek variant XD. Crysis Wars has client side punkbuster as well. Not sure how much more efficient it is though. The main advantage of crysis wars was that it had admin spectate mode so that they could catch cheaters more easily.

Only reason I never played Multiplayer on the original Crysis or Crysis Wars was because by the time I got broadband all the Aus servers are gone

Actually the Aussie Crysis Wars community is trying to bring back Crysis Wars, not sure if it's temporary or long term. We created a Steam group and currently have 28 members wanting to play Crysis Wars again. Even so, nothing seems to be happening currently but there is hope for a revival. To be honest I'm getting tired of Crysis 2 and its problems. Hope Crysis Wars come back alive and with more players.

I think wars is the more popular option.

From what I've read, wars is an update of crysis multiplayer with new weapons and maps plus some gameplay tweaks, more of an expansion than a seperate game. I would have loved to have played it in its day

The Steam Group is simply called 'Crysis Wars 2011'. Although with 30 members (which is enough people) nothing seems to be organised or planned.

Yeah, I still play it sometimes.
I'm also running a modded server whenever I'm online and I kick every cheater (if you're interested, you can download the mod here: http://www.crydev.net/viewtopic.php?f=277&t=71437).
The server is called "! Marvel4's Modded Server", I hope I'll see some of you there soon! :)

Will you be playing Power Struggle or just IA?

A combination of both, however the IA is more of a break in between the Power Struggle matches. Crysis Wars has always been about Power Struggle matches.
