I have installed crysis 2 whit the disc.
When ever i start crysis 2 the mouse loads for a a second and ends.
I checked task manger it shows "crysis 2 launcher" but only for a few seconds.
I have reinstalled it twice now.

I have exactly the same Problem and i had installed the game twice too. I know that the game works on Pc because i have already played the demo Crysis 2 on steam without any Problem.

It's because Crysis 2 Launcher is fail, look for Crysis 2 . exe insted!

I'm having the same problem as well...i get this error when launching Crysis2.exe "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."

when i use the launcher nothing happens...i've reinstalled 3 times...this is a DVD retail copy of this piece of shyt, my specs are:

windows xp pro sp3 32bit (all updates, no AV)
intel Q9400
DFI P35
4gb DDR2 800 (3.2gb)
AMD HD 5770 1gb

RHEDD390 is right, just find the exe.(it should just say Crysis2) not the crysis launcher on the disc in bin32 and copy and paste it into your crytek folder on your pc. say yes to copying over the old exe. and your done, it seems the 1.1 patch corrupts the exe. if your short cuts dont seem 2 b working u may have to re-do them by going back in to bin32 in crysis and right click on the new exe. and send to desktop.

This is just ridiculous. I have the downloaded version from EA and it launched fine and I'm 21% into the campaign. Now it will not launch. How is this game controlled?
I am so tired of PC users getting the shaft. Where is the support for my $59.99?

yeah that actually didn't work, i still can't run the game, this is starting to piss me off...i read all the stuff people are saying about how **** this game is, just trying to find a solution to a problem that shouldn't exist, i paid 60$ for a game i can't play...now people have been playing for days, they'll have everything unlocked before i even get the f*ing game to run...this is BS, and i know i won't be compensated...what the F am i supposed to do?

This is just an update but I was able to get the game to load using this graphics fix! It will let you skip the intro and setup more things. I used it and I was able to get into the game and play.

The problem is with the vc++ 2008 or with the net framework, cuz on my old os what have a lot of junk installed have no problem to start the game, but now with a clean new os I cant play with it. I dont understand this, cuz I instaled the net framework 2.0 an vc++ 2008 but nothing

You guys advertised so wrong about ungenuine game. I think your dev teams started to love "CONSOLES" and leave PC Gamers like me in hell with uncompleted game. Or you guys love "PORTS" ?
