I now have three "quasi-accounts" at MyCrisis.com.
I was able to use the MyCrisis account tied to my EA account (logical? no?) to redeem the promotion code, but that one won't allow me to login to Crysis 2 multiplayer or comment in the forums. Swell.
I created another account within Crysis 2 that will let me join multiplayer, but that one isn't associated with the promotion code and that won't let me post in the forums.
I've created this account on the MyCrisis site and it WILL allow me to post in the forums, but it's not associated with the promotion code. I bet it will let me play multiplayer, but will it help Crysis 2 retain my license key in multiplayer?
Regardless of the three accounts that should have been one or whether or not I can play multiplayer under multiple aliases, the promotion code is now locked to an account that will not work in multiplayer and that's lame.
Now that everyone and their brother has had issues, EA has released the following, urging us to create new gamesas accounts and not use the ones we used with Crysis or other EA games. Super swell.
I hope EA/Crytek does something to help early adopters (beta testers). Glitches are to be expected, but this is a ridiculous amount of hoops to jump through for a promotion.

QUESTION
How do I redeem my Crysis 2 Limited Edition DLC Code?
ANSWER
A separate gamesas Account is required to access any online features, including multiplayer content, the redemption of Limited Edition codes, DLC, etc.
While gamesas accounts use IGN technology, they do not use or require a standard GameSpy ID. You should not attempt to access online content with your GameSpy ID.
You may create your gamesas account through the game, or by logging in to gamesas.com.
Logging in for the first time via the game will create a completely new login.
If users already have a gamesas login, they may use that to login.
Otherwise, they will be prompted to create an account.
To redeem your bonus content code from within a PC game:
Select "Multiplayer" from the Crysis 2 main menu.
If you have not logged in before, you will need to create a gamesas account. Enter your nickname, password, and email when requested.
In the Crysis 2 multiplayer menu, select the "My Crysis" option.
Select "Redeem Code". This will exit the game and open gamesas in a browser window.
Login using your gamesas details.
Enter the content code in the text box and click "Redeem Code".
Run the game and it will automatically detect that your bonus content is available.
