We are aware that some people are experiencing an issue with their Crysis 2 multiplayer key receiving two different errors;

- Multiplayer key will not save and needs to be re-entered
- “Serial number in use”

A patch to fix issue will be made available soon but in the mean time here is an easy work around solution to both of this issues;

1. Load Crysis 2, go to multiplayer and type in your key
2. Navigate back to Single Player
3. Go back into multiplayer and re-enter your key

After completing these 3 steps your multiplayer key will be saved and you will not be required to re-enter it. If you complete these steps and it still does work post here and let us know. Please ensure carefully that you follow the steps above before reporting an issue.

this is weird tho if i click crysis 2 i get the activation system directly cant click anything else.

and just open crysis for everyone! instead of others at 24 our 25 march, we all payed for the same game, so let us all play also!.

Try run as administrator if you haven't, that's what worked for me, serial is sticking and stats tracking and also no more serial is in use.
Window 7 64 bit.

Will try it as well as soon as I get home. It really svcks every time I need to type my key whenever I go to multiplayer.

I can see this never being fixed and just a rule of thumb to do each time you re-install. Such a sad day.

What about the "serial code is in use" error when trying to join a server? Is that fixed yet?

That fixed my problems for having crysis 2 remember my multiplayer key, but 75% of the time when I click on multiplayer, Crysis 2 crashes with a cryengine error: deleting reference counted object twice. Any ideas?

Where is my multiplayer key located? This is a digital download from EA.

It's on front of your login page in Crysis 2. Look the lower bottom see MODIFY. input key there.

and i thought Blackops had a terrible release day.......

and they even removed ps3 demo to make sure that the full game would work perfect on day one yeah it works great........

At least you can get into multiplayer. I cant, still getting the error "Incorrect login details"

If you change your saved game folder to writable instead of "ready Only", it should retain your information better.

Go to:

• C:\Users\YourUserName\
• Right-click on Saved Games folder.
• Un-check "Read-only"
• Click "Apply"

That said, it doesn't matter much when Ranked Matches will not start and there's absolute silence from Crytek support on this issue.

Wow, it finally saved. This is the only thing that worked. Typed it all in lowercase with no dashes and followed the instruction in post #1.

Worked for me. Didn't use dashes and typed in all lower case.

When I type in my serial number by clicking on "modify" becasue the serial has not stuck, the system accepts the serial, but when I click on "multiplayer", Crysis 2 crashes with a Windows dialogue box: "Crysis 2 has stopped working."

Please put up a thorough fix for all these multiplayer-related issues.

How about a fix for the promo stuff from the limited edition? Taking forever to get a fix out. I want my stuff!
