I installed Crysis 2, started it up and got a patch. Downloaded and installed that now every time I start up Crysis I get activity icon but nothing ever happens. Crysis doesnt pop up and I dont get any error. Anyone else having this problem?
Alright, i'm on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. When I open the folder to run Crysis2, the folder it's located is called bin32. I'm not sure if that's like the OS the game runs on or somethin, but its a thought.
Yea I've tried running it off of my computer, and it won't start up. I tried running it off of the EA client thingy, and it still didn't start up. I think there's an issue with people who's OS is running with 64bit possibly.
I got mine to launch. I opened the DVD in explore mode, double clicked crysis2.exe in the bin32 folder and input my CD key. After that I copy pasted crysis2.exe from the bin32 folder on the DVD to the bin32 folder on my hard drive. I had to copy and replace because there was already a crysis2.exe there. After that it launched.

Ok lets get this guy a promotion please. Thanks bro that made the game launch finally
All you're doing is replacing the crysis.exe file that was installed on your computer with the good one on the DVD. You'll find both these in their respective bin32 folders.
If you're launching the game from the crysis.exe file on the DVD then it'll give you that error. Use the crysis.exe file you just pasted into your game folder to launch.
