Crysis 3 worst community ever?

Post » Sat Aug 31, 2013 6:55 am

I love the crysis 3's fluid and intense multiplayer and been playing a total of 100 hours now. Ofc it has some issues with very unbalanced weapons and perks, (you all know what i'm talking about). But my biggest problem is the community.

In the game you don't only battle against nanosuites, you battle against votekicks. People keep making votes trying get the mvp out of the game, claiming them for hacks all the time. I don't know how many times this have happend to me but it's alot. (Note that I don't use **** weapons, I only use fy71, grendel (no laser included) or marshall).
Whole matches can be filled with votekicks, as soon as the first vote is over the next one starts. Some people dosn't even give any reason why they votekick someone. Ofc many of these votes is against people using op weapons or breaking server rules which leads to my other complain.

There is no honor in crysis 3. People noobtube with jaws, using hipfire laser only, running around with poles and the list goes on. I guess this is cryteks fault for making these unbalances advantages. Crytek really went full cod on crysis 3. It started with crysis 2 but it's was not untill the c3 it had all the bulls*** elements just like cod. (Sorry for comparing it to it). Just look at the swarmer, it's basically a at least 3 free kills. Heck! With max armor you are 99% bulletproof, on ctf you can cap the relay and the enemy can't even do a thing about it.

And don't let me get started on the chat system... it's the same since crysis 2 and is still as awful in cry... woaah.. now i'm really getting off-topic here... when I think about it I might have just been playing this game a little too much this summer. Maybe the community isn't bad after all, maybe it's just me?!?!

I'm not sure if this leads to any discussion but at least I got all that hate out of me now I think, and sorry for my english as i'm swedish fyi.

Yes, the game is full of assholes, but also of very nice people! Try to make friends and play with them, look for moderated servers... All that stuff.

Vote-kick is abused.

In some matches I actually run around wasting time, just to not piss off players so that I can actually finish the match. Tell me that's not crazy.
Great game, horrible system.

LOL NUB LEARN 2 DODGE SWARMER, AND IF U DIE 2 POLE OR ORBITAL STRIKE THEN U R OBVOIUSRLY NUB.

In all seriousness, 90% of the BS weapons, abilities, modules/suit changes etc introduced in Crysis 3 was done to make the game 10x more newbie-friendly. In Crysis 2 if a newbie wondered into a server full of intermediates/experienced players, they wouldn't be able to get even ONE kill, often going on 8-10 death streaks. There was no "hurr durr" weapon to use other than L-Tag (banned on most servers), the only way to get kills was to properly out-play your opponent. Every time you died it was almost always your fault, every kill felt gratifying.

The game did need to be made slightly more newbie-friendly, Crytek went COMPLETELY overboard. Separated energy bars, Auto Armor, tons of one-hit mechanics i.e. Bow, Gauss, Pole, Swarmer, Mortar, Bolt Sniper, Air Stomp, etc.
I didn't understand why people were getting hyped about Pinger either, there's nothing novel about handing 1 player a freaking WALKING TANK that is very difficult to kill, can absolutely destroy players who go toe-to-toe against it, and only awards 100 points for killing (0 points if the guy simply exists while the pinger is low health), etc. Once the driver figures out to stay in open areas and far away from ledges, it's just a joke.

All this ties into why Vote-Kick is abused so much, a lot of the time it's just to kick someone who is simply pissing everyone off or playing too well.

A newbie doesn't really know what is broken and what isn't, they're simply using whatever method they can to get kills...it lets them feel that they at least stand a chance against more experienced players. Can't really blame them, Crytek intended all these things for that exact purpose.

Too bad Crytek was incredibly short-sighted and completely forgot that newbies don't stay newbies for very long. Once they figure out what is OP/broken they will abuse the hell out of it, as what we have seen so far. Core veterans can only sit back and shake their heads, lose interest & leave, or (like me) can't be bothered playing more than once a week because it's the same BS every time.

Dude, don't play Crysis 3, it isn't made to have fun. Use a Laser, Pole or Alien Weapons otherwise you're dead.
