crysis2 and directx11?

I know crysis2 supports dx11 but what difference does it make? is it like the unigine heaven benchmark where it makes a huge difference or is it just small things here and there.
I noticed in "the wall trailer" when the chopper flew through the smoke that it used dx11 volumetrics(I think).

I guess my point is, what difference will DX11 make.

It'd be nice, but tbh not needed that much, as unless it's tessellation most dx11 features have far more of an impact in motion (such as in dirt 2).

they haven't said much about it except that crysis2 supports it.

I just hope the DX9 and DX10/11 wouldn't be a freakin' joke. AGAIN. What the hell? It's supposed to be, you know, taking advantage of new technology. Running the game a third slower, with the same visual quality isn't exactly doing that. Like, at all.

Here's to hoping that they actually take a decent advantage of the DX11 API.

TRUE THAT! a major difference between dx9 and dx10 is that dx10 uses all the ram not just the ram on th graphics card. and so you can see further.

I really hope that Crytek takes full advantage of what DX11 has to offer... I did not buy a GTX 570 for nothing!
