I have just installed crysis2 . My accounts is valid and I can log on but I have never received an email to my registered email account (hotmail)
When I try to install the dx11 patch, it says that I do not have 1.9 patch installed but this should install automatically and it does not.
Also, I do not get any servers when I try to play on the internet. Another player on my lan with another account has no problem connecting to any one of hundreds of servers.

What do I do?

All this seems like you haven't installed the patch successfully.

Use Crysis2Launcher.exe (in ..\Crysis2\bin32) to force auto patch. You can confirm the current version in the upper left corner of the main multiplayer menu.
