Crytec = Sega ?

Aliens vs Predator
most annoying issues:
- matchmaking system in ranked matches - waiting 5-10 or more minutes to find a game
- not balanced classes - Predator OP
- private matches - no problems with finding matches thanks to built-in browser, but u can't earn exp there
- glitch were u could earn exp quite fast in SP mode (killing praetorians)

AvP forum looked almost exactly like C2. Lots of rage topics, but CM was at least replying (our team is working on it). As far as i know first they fixed SP glitch. Then 1st DLC and ppl on their forums still asking about patches, and still only one answer - we're working on it. Don't know if it was before or after 1st dlc, but Sega released patch that allowed to earn exp in private matches (PC only).
After that console players were asking/demanding this patch and guess what was the answer - we're working on it. Then 2nd DLC was released and one week after release date Sega Community Manager posted:

"I've just received a mail this AM regarding patches for the console versions of AVP and I regret to inform everyone that these have sadly been scrapped.

I had previously made a claim that these were coming and at the time, this was very much on the table. For the console community, I apologize, as I know there are many features and updates that you'd like to see. I'll keep fighting intern'ally for this to happen, but until I hear otherwise, there will not be a console patch for either Xbox or PS3."

I'm not saying Crytec will do the same, but it looks kinda similar to me, so I'm not gonna buy any DLC until Crytec will fix current bugs/issues.

I did the same thing with AvP as I did with Crysis. Returned it. I remember asking for them patches & remember how it was left which is why I no longer put up with developer BS. The game goes straight back.

I refused to buy the DLC for that game as well

Cause unlike Sega they are listening they are showing support and they are allowing modding. We've got a lot more here than with AvP.
But apparently what you seem to fail to grasp is the knowledge of these events that have transpired within recent months. Btw checkout Crymod once in a while before you open your trap again .

I have been convinced for a long time that we won't be having anymore patches, they can say that they are working on it but I don't believe a word of it.

Crytek have only come out of the woodwork as they want a final cash cow off us reputable gamers before they shut up shop.

USE YOUR HEADS PEOPLE, DON'T GIVE THEM MORE CASH UNTIL THEY PATCH THIS BROKEN GAME

I have to ask again since you didn't reply in another thread where you made a similar post, what does mod tools and crymod have to do with 360 gamers? It has nothing to do with us. Why do you keep bringing it up? They are only for the PC version and PC development. Just because Crytek can mod on consoles and pc all at the same time, doesn't mean they are going to give us the ability to do that. Especially not for free.

Actually I still have AvP. I know SP is not great, but I like it and I was waiting for a patch. After they stopped support, game is practically worthless so I can trade it for Viva Pinata :D
If Crytec will release DLC before patch I will trade C2 till it's still worth some money. I don't wan't to be tricked again and (now lot of ppl will start to hate me) SP is easy, short, predictable and boring.

What Crymod has to do with lags/bugs/glitches and lack of support?

I never said that Crymod has anything to do with lack of Support or lags or bugs/glitches. Given the right amount of time we will be seeing hot-fixes for those possibly made by the community that thought outside the box and fix it.
I'm referring to the letter that was put on the site when it was down for maintenance. I'm referring to the options that will be available.
There's so much that can be done. It's just a matter of time until its done. Maybe I'm just looking down the road too much.

And you know what for now on, I will shut up when topics like these are constantly being posted here. I'm tired of it. Majority of those I've read and not commented on.... I'm not being paid to say or suggest anything. I know what's possible with the engine, I've been following Crytek since Crysis. I've seen all of the videos shown at GDC back in 09 and 10, I've done reports on them as well. God forbid I act like a anolyst and predict what's going on and how they are going to handle it. We know what they've done in the past we should have an idea of what's going to be done in the future.

In-fact I wonder why these so called 360 gamers . Where in that letter do you get the idea that people will be able to mod the 360 version? No where does it say that. The idea that hot-fixes for the Xbox version can be made by the community and then released on Xbox Live is laughable. Where do you get these assumptions from? I have been following Crytek since Farcry was first announced so don't act like you are some all-knowing Crytek fanboy for having followed them since Crysis. Hell, I followed Crytek when they released there very first app which was a tech demo for Nvidia that featured Dino's and jungle back in the geforce 3 days. I ask again, where do you get the assumption that we will be able to mod the 360 version? I honestly would like to know. Don't say that you will shut-up on these topics just because you can't provide a decent answer. Sorry if any of this sounds harsh in advance.
