This article was written in regard to cheatingin Crysis 2 and the link is below. Im posting this in the forums because I want to hear from the people that think we need to shut up and wait for Crytek to fix these issues when in reality they should have been fixed before the game was released and I believe that this is a message to the PC community when a company does something like this. But you yell me.



It hasn’t been a good week for Crytek and it’s about to get a whole lot worse.

After the news about Crysis 2′s textures being half the size of its predecessor it seems that Crytek doesn’t care about gamers hacking and cheating in Crysis 2.

Recently, there was a thread regarding the anti-cheat issue in Crysis 2 on the official Crytek forums and the developer moved quickly to take down the thread by closing it down.

However, they didn’t close down the thread, via GAF, which will be getting all the attention for those who are looking to hack and cheat in the shooter: the thread about the .pak extractor (which allows you to decrypt and extract the .pak files, and thus modify files and cheat) is still open. So, basically, if you modify any data file in Crysis 2 it will be accepted by the server without question.

Please please please stop talking about hacking. We get the point. Crytek has yet to put a security onto their MP so what do you expect?

Lol I expect to drag it into the ground because when I spend money on a product I expect to get a working product. This is another reason why my product is not working properly. I know you get the point the question is does Crytek get the point?

its a console port. there is no anti-cheat that isn't outside of xbox's servers.

Please please please continue to show your concern of this product and it's quality, so that either we press for fixes or inform potential customers about it's current state. I personally regret not waiting for a week and reading the forums instead of blindly relying on grossly misguiding previews and reviews...
