They might be regretting this decision when UE4 games release and look just as good but run smooth as butter.

Everyone was crying when Crysis 2 came out that the graphics svcked and it didn't take advantage of the best hardware. Now, Crysis 3 looks amazing and is melting GPU's and people are crying about performance. Irony at its best.

The only reason I'm "crying" is because the beta ran silky smooth at 70+ FPS but now the game is constantly crashing for seemingly no reason and I haven't changed any settings at all.

I'm not crying because they game looks amazing. The only thing that bothers me is getting drastic dips in fps for no obvious reason. I have a 7950 and I'm running everything at medium settings so I can run at a steady 60fps. I will be crossfiring within the next month so hopefully I can run this at high or very high at 60fps no problem.
My problem is I'll move 1 inch in a specific spot in the campaign and I get a 30 frame drop. The scenery didn't lchange and enemies aren't on the screen. It only happens every so often but its annoying. I like a steadier frame rate. I can understand if I went from an enclosed space to a wide open vista but not when I go from hallway to stairway.

Did you try turning off V-sync? I know for me it was either giving me 60FPS or dropping to 30 on very high. No in between. With it off I'm averaging 45-50 FPS on a GTX 670.

I don't know what is wrong with your card, but my 7950 runs everything at Very High around 55-60 average...but it crashes for no reason. Just says Crysis 3 Has Stopped Working, even when I put my card back to stock clock speeds and lower the settings the medium.

I can run it on Very High but I want to average 60+ fps with my 7950. What OS do you have? I was having this problem earlier with games crashing for no reason. I think it was a ram problem because I swapped out some sticks and it hasn't done it since.
