here we go:
EA also plans to move aggressively in the console space for both this generation and the next generation hardware. This isn't surprising given that EA-based console games accounted for 72-percent of its net revenues during the last reported quarter. According to this filing, PC games only generated 14-percent of its net revenue in the same quarter.
ahaha
classic cardstacking propaganda: they are talking about Q1 in the cited document
Q1
Games Skate? 3 Console
Green Day Rock Band? (1) Console
APB All Points Bulletin (1) PC
Sports 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa? Console Handheld/Mobile
Tiger Woods PGA TOUR? Online PC
Tiger Woods PGA TOUR? 11 Console
q1 has been terrible as APB is still in closed beta and TW TPGT O is f2p if i'm not mistaken, so yeah it wouldn't be much of a surprise if ad generated cash doesen't exactly exceed the box values sold of the console games.
so yes, 14% revenue from a single browser game doesn't look so bad.
that would be my guess. if a stockbroker wants to correct me, by all means do.
