These guys were responsible for the PS3's biggest flop Haze, so I don't think Homefront will be good.

Yeah, I can't say I am looking forward to Homefront 2. The first Homefront's story was so stupid which is why I don't plan on ever playing it. North Korea militarily taking over the U.S.A.? STUUUPID!!!! Maybe it's just me, but I thought Red Dawn was a stupid movie and thus the game's story is stupid.

I don't think its saying much for it to be Crytek UK's best title to date

This is something new to me to see a company already trying to promote a game, which will come 3 years later. Anyway, Homefront 2 is no way going to be their best title, I didn't see ANYONE who disliked TimeSplitters series. Everyone who I played the series with, fell in love with that series.

I don't think the setting is stupid at all.

Invading during massive economic problems is strategically plausible.

After all, the USA's power lies heavily in its economy, and defence is expensive.

Since the beginning of this year, I now take everything CryTek has to say with a huge grain of salt.

I bought Homefront for $25 on Steam one day, and I thought it was not bad at all. The singleplayer campaign is shorter than that jersey shore *****, but it has great plot progression, and I enjoyed it all. The multiplayer isn't bad either, and a lot of ppl play it.

Plausible? As bad as the economy is right now, North Korea has eons to catch up and be able to do invade anyone. They can't even afford to invade the south. They would all starve. The plot is stupid. North Korea couldn't invade anyone because defeating them would be as easy as cutting off their food imports. Not to mention, militarily they are no match. North Korea invading the USA is laughable.

The only reason North Koreans kind of made sense in the original Crysis is that they lost Kim Jung Ill and he was replaced by a military general who did things to improve their economy, thus enabling them to be a national player. However, without a hypothetical like that the idea of North Korea being able to invade anyone or anywhere is laughable.

North Korea is the most isolated country in the world and they weild no big stick to hit people with. Even their latest "nuke" test was a dud.

So, big USA fan huh?

Did you know that the plot originally involved China as the invaders, but was changed because their economy is so tied to the USA's, so that would not have been plausible?

That Korea couldn't invade right now is largely irrelevant. The fact is, it is absolutely plausible (although very unlikely, granted) that situations such as those outlined in Homefront's plot could occur.

Yes, I am an American after all. I just have to respectfully disagree with your hypothetical possiblility of the US being invaded by North Korea. It's just not possible, logistically and economically, for North Korea. So I don't think it's very plausible. It makes good fiction though I guess.

It's like saying "Crysis is stupid because it has aliens" -.-
Just because it's so unlikely doesn't mean you can't make a story about it

^ THIS!

Crytek didn't understand, that their fans would be more than pissed about these news. They didn't realize, that there were a lot of people waiting for TS4. Barely anyone cares about Homefront anyway, because majority of players disliked it (I liked the multiplayer though after having played the demo of it A LOT).

Crytek only did stupid decision, there isin't nothing smart about it.
