I'm not seeing Crysis Wars on consoles.
Wouldn't be worth it anyways.
They just ported the singleplayer.
Yes, and that's enough reasons for me to believe, that Consoles can indeed render large areas (because the Sp was an entire large area).
And why has Crysis 2 such linear and scripted campaign(compared to Crysis at least,it's more open that other shooters),since consoles can obviosly handle Crysis?
Because scripted, linear, over the top, and stylish shooters attract more people (mostly kids). It's not because it is on console, it is, because Crytek wanted to become big on the main market, which currently is rewarding Call of Duty and consorts for beeing "revolutionary".
Agree it, if you were someone at Crytek and you were at the brink of getting fire because your game didn't attract too much people, you would say: "Let's streamline it a bit, so we can attract more people."
Perspective wise, I can partially understand Cryteks steps with Crysis 2, not all of them but some.
