So uh, Crytek it's now Sunday, where is the update?

Post » Thu Nov 11, 2010 8:55 am

Without trying to sound disrespectful but;
It looks like the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.
In the stickied thread we were told to expect a update by the end of the week.
Where is it?

I find it interesting that as soon as Crytek decided to go multi-platform they've not exactly been the most how should I put it, Forthcoming with the facts.
You ignore consumers questions on important details such as DRM, Cheat protection and whether or not your PC package supported the editor which all three of your previous releases supported.

Instead of beating about the bush how about simple honesty, can you or can you not fix the problems plaguing this release and when will the fixes be released.
The longer this charade carries on, the worse the PR is going to get because this was supposed to be a reboot to get the masses attention, well you certainly got that now didn't you?

also it is to late for crytek. its been one week and they have not done a dam thing. Crytek has just dug themselves a grave.

They don't work on weekends....

Patch was released for like 10 minutes on Friday but obviously they realized something was wrong and reversed it.

We'll see on Monday or Tuesday....

I approve of this post.

They could have calmed the community so much down with SPEAKING with us but no they give us just deadly silence.

Bugs/Glitches aside, the SILENCE is the worst you can do as a developer.

Yeah, I'm starting to think that COD Black Ops had a smoother launch than this.

Can you people just learn to have some faith. For one Crytek is not a company to release a patch if it is not stable. Two they dont just have problems on the PC and three they have lives and families. Please give them a break. Being a developer is not an easy thing to do and then to be bashed by the public for not giving them a patch when you find an issue and want to fix it for them but they dont see it that way because they only see that there was no patch. Give me a break guys and just have some patients. As I have said before the Servers have been patch once if not twice already. So they haven't been doing nothing.

yup. i have given hope for this game. if i have to wait more than a week to fix the major issues that are inhibiting my gameplay i have no more need to support the game. This game is even a failure on consoles. also this is not very good advertising for those devs who want to make a game with the CE3. Crysis 2 failure, CE3 failure.

Faith is not going to save this game. if it takes a week to fix a game its already to late. one week is to long and there are a ton of other games out there. this is now just going to collect dust like MW2.

i have to agree on this one, they could have told us what they want to fix, when it will be fixed and why there are delays, its not the fact that there are some that bother me, its that they keep everything all secrit and stuff, meanwhile the hackers are getting worse and worse, im starting to regret buying this =\, should've just got minecraft and BF3 and called it a year =|

it dont matter if they pulled that patch back, and dont matter if they have other issues, it dont matter if they have RL also.

i do matter that you keep your paying customers updated about why and what.

if you promises a patch at the end of the week people expect one, if you have to remove the patch because there are some problems ok np, BUT KEEP YOUR CUSTOMERS UP TO DATE thats all we ask!

If you want them to keep us more updated start whining at EA not Crytek. EA is the one holding the leash.

Im pretty sure Crytek would like to but EAs using some kind of shock collar to keep their mouths shut. EA wants no information to get out. Especially not after the oops they made with releasing accidentally the release date for BF3.

You know, the fact that I'm agreeing with this post speaks volumes on how disastrous the launch of this game has been.

Logged in today to see that a perk that I got 250+ kills in was reset to 0 kills. The other perks retained their kills except that one. I mean wtf? Yeah, I think I'm done with this game. If they would at least let us know what is going on instead of having us like fools, then maybe I would have some faith. But with the unforgivable resets, the pirates and the cheaters, the MP is currently a cesspool.

And for all the idiots crying "go play on ranked servers" the only server I play on is my own, which is ranked.

If I could return this game and get a refund I would, but I bought it on Steam unfortunately. Never again Crytek, never again.

you should not blame EA there just the publisher, this is crytek's mess. Is there even any anti cheat working for this game. If you can enable cheats which just writing some commands on notepad, then something is seriously wrong and that's why they are not saying anything.

The problems with the cheating in multi is probably the worst I have ever heard for a launch of a game period. It's a total disaster and this further proves that this is a port and nothing more.

If this game had been more then a port. like actually a real pc game then precautions would have been taken to avoid this mess.

The silence just demonstrates, the level of epic fail going on at crytek.

I don't believe they have an answer because if they did they would tell you and this silence means they don't have jack ****!!!!

Its over a week since launch and major issues like broken server, resetting perks and unlocks, the amount of online cheating in MP and bugged nano collection in SP still not being fixed nor having a date for said fix is a total disgrace.

It will be at least a month before the game gets better. My advice is to wait till summer for some type of editor because once that is out the molding community will bring cry engine 3 back to a pc household name. Till then they are appeasing to consoles to actually profit this time around. They only balanced out with crysis 1 so this move on their part is beginning to make alot of since. I will say though.. F*** you EA.

I just bought the black ops map pack just to take my mind off Crytek lying to us yet again. To be honest the map pack is pretty good as long as you're not in a server with wallhackers and if you ignore all the campers and gaymores.

No DX11 suport or CryEngine 3 sandbox basically shows that the bulk of development was probably focused on Consoles. If Crytek were focused on PC games DX11 suport would have been a priority, and I'm not sure why the Sandbox wasn't included, but I can guess:

Sandbox wasn't included because of people creating custom content, levels and mods. This was fine with Crysis and Crysis: Warhead because there was no DLC. Now that Crysis 2 is on consoles ther'll probably be DLC.
Because of this, EA was like "No, no, no, no, no Sanbox for PC, custom content = people won't get bored as much. If they don't get bored they won't buy DLC. WE NEEDZ TEH MONEYZ! *pimp slap Cevat Yerli*"

Also find it funny how our default avatar is the nano suit with it's back turned...perhaps was a signal that crytek was turning it's back on pc
