Yup so this is the conversation I had with the EA support, they're not going to bother helping us either. They're over the 24 hour reply limit. We're not getting any of our unlocks back, that's that. And if you keep playing there's a huge probability of this happening again, not like that's surprising anymore, though.
Me:
"I recently patched my game and then all my multiplayer stats were gone. My stats were still in tact the moment before the patch, and immediately after the patch I lost all of them. My levels and weapon attachments were all still in tact, though, to my surprise. From what the people have been saying on the forums, I wasn't the only one having their stats reset after the patch either.
I expected the recent patch to fix and get rid of any problems, but the only thing it seemed to have gotten rid of was what I worked for.
I wrote down my number of kills and deaths because I knew the stats would just randomly reset from time to time, since it has happened before.
I originally had 2712 kills and 694 deaths, but I doubt that means anything to you since you could just say I was lying. I hope you have my stats on record at least, and would be nice if you would just check and confirm it for me.
And last but not least, even if you can't restore my stats, at least give me back my module upgrades.
In the event that you are unable to restore anything I had, I would like to ask for a refund, at least a partial refund. I don't believe I bought this product just so I could waste my time losing all the upgrades I get...... Unless you are telling me that's the point of this game, to work for the upgrades just to have them reset and get them all over again."
Gordon:
"Hi,
Thank you for writing to Electronic Arts customer support.
We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience you are facing with the game . We would like to let you know that our engineers are aware of this. They are diligently working upon this issue and should get resolved within 24 to 48 hours.
If there is anything else we may do to assist you please let us know.
Thank you,
Gordon
EA Online Support."
Me:
"I know you've been working on it. I'm not the only one who has asked about this issue, and I've noticed that you give all of us the exact same reply.
Whether the problem at hand is solved or not does not address to my issue. Even if you've solved this problem, will I get what I had before back? I certainly don't feel like starting from scratch trying to get everything back. If I am not getting anything back, I would at least like my money back, please.
Or am I not allowed to get my money back despite I paid for what seems to be a faulty product?
Please give me a straight answer instead of just telling me you've been working on it, which was what you've been telling everyone else since the game was released."
Well, we spent 50-70 bucks to learn a lesson. Not to trust Crytek. Or EA, for that matter, since they'd break their own policy of replying in 24 hours. So much for "If there is anything else we may do to assist you please let us know." I doubt they'd even reply any further. In fact, they never replied at all, just avoided my question and told us that they're supposedly "working on it," which doesn't mean jack.
