Crytek, please consider Killzone 3's example!

Sorry if this was brought up as I'm new here. I really love Crysis 2's multiplayer and wish I could get more out of it but it seems to lack a strong online following. Killzone 3 is my other favorite multiplayer and they had such a great idea for this recently. I would love it if Crytek would consider giving it a try.

K3 offered the multiplayer-only game for free on the PSN store, with all DLC maps included (and please think about mixing them all in together!) but there is a level cap on the free version. If you want to go higher in levels, you pay $15. From what I could tell in playing multiplayer, tons of people took advantage of this because the place went wild with noobs. It was great!

The community exploded and a year after the release, it's still thriving and making money. I wouldn't doubt it if many turned around and bought the full game to play the single player, as well.

With the full game's presence on the PSN store along with Crysis 1, this seems like a smart and logical step, imo.

I think someone has posted something similar, but would be a wise move ~ bring some fresh faces to the game.

Damn dude, that's a brilliant idea. I hope Crytek will actually do their level best make my all time fav game immortal. Asking for too much? Naah. This game is really that bad ass. If they release at least one of their DLC's for free and make the news well known, a lot more people will be playing and buying this game now. Dammit, Crytek moved on with their new projects. They are not putting any attention to this somewhat flawed masterpiece.

Yeah, it would be terrible if it's truly been abandoned (it feels that way), but this would be an excellent way to both support the current fans and the upcoming projects (extra cash flow, plus new fans looking forward to their work). I was shocked at how many people coming to K3 were saying, "Wow, I had no idea this game was so awesome! Had I known, I wouldn't have been playing CoD all this time!"

They could be saying something similar about Crysis 2.

Crytek do not decide what happened with Crysis series, EA does.

Crytek looks at these boards more than EA, and I would certainly hope they have some level of communication with them.

But people could play more of Crysis 2 while waiting for the sequel (And make DLC packs actually worth of getting, since people could actually play the maps)!
