Hi Crytek!

Since you have taken the time to port Crysis 1 to the Derpbox 360, can you please port Crysis 2 PC version to Cryengine2 ?

Since you gave us a steaming pos in Crysis 2 that looks worse than the game you released four years ago, Crysis 1, I thought you could return to your PC roots and re-relased Crysis 2 on Cryengine2 with updated visuals. At least this would bring it up to the quality of graphics seen in Crysis 1.

We understand you released a 'DX11 & High-Texure Pack', but this was just an over-tessellated pile of crap to help nvidia look good in benchmarks and sell cards, invisible tessellated ocean much ?

So please, re-release Crysis 2 on CryEngine2. Open up the corridors and make it open-ended. Give us a real sequel to Crysis 1 & Warhead. Give us a game that at least looks as good as the one released four years ago.

Thanks

No is wouldn't, since there is nothing wrong with the fidelity of CE2. CE3 just makes it easier for mulitplatform with some new graphics features and dev tools.

CE2 could quiet easy do a city location like in Crysis 2, it's just it would probably be easier to do in CE3.

Let's do a comparison. Crysis 1 on the CE3 engine looks great and runs on those old consoles very very well. Crysis 1 on CE2 was a computer killer (keep in mind this doesn't mean it was graphically advanced, although it was, it is fallacious to assume that the two are related), took like 4 GT9180 in SLI to run and fraps well; hyperbole, of course, but you get the point.

As if stands you can play C2 at 30FPS on an acer ao522 netbook while FRAPsing (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybiaYzPPluQ). If you ported C2 to CE2 that same game would burn the netbook. Thus, CE3 > CE2.

Simple comparisons.

Crysis 1 using the CE2 has high requirements for good reason, that's why. Crysis 1 has more complex and much higher draw distance, volumetric sky, much higher resolution textures, software tessellated water, massive amount shaders being used. CE3 runs well because it's muliplatform with lower requirement but to Crysis 2 being much less complex.

Console version is probably less than medium settings as well, since a 8800GTS on a PC can run Crysis 1 on medium at about 30-40fps.
