Since Crytek likes saving good game studios, they should buyout Factor 5 (also a German studio) and make a Rogue Squadron IV... For anyone who doesn't know of Rogue Squadron, II and III we're a couple of the most technically advanced, best looking, and imo fun games of last-gen. Since this is the Crysis section, I love the Crysis 2 demo. It's really fun, even dieing is entertaining. Can't wait for the single player campaign.

I believe crytek has enought studios for now, and each studio is located on a different country (germany, Uk, korea, Ukraine) which are small studios making their games with the support from crytek with software, hardware and money in exchange of a part of profit, they also assign studios for specific proyects, like the MP of Crysis 2 was assigned to Crytek UK, Rogue squadron is a good game but i don't think crytek might be considering buying factor 5

It was a good game for the time. Factor 5 would have to do something spectacular to make a new Rogue Squadron any good. I mean, after seeing LAIR, it seems like there wasn't anyone at that studio who had an original idea left in their head. It was just Rogue Squadron with dragons and bad motion controls.

And also, I thought Factor 5 is already gone, and had been for awhile.

It's funny that you make this topic, as I was just doing a bunch of research into the Rouge Squadron series.

However, even if they did get Factor 5 ( and as another poster stated, I'm pretty sure they've been disbanded), doesn't the brand remain with LucasArts? I doubt CryTek could afford them.

However, if you're going to hope for a comeback of a last-gen series, hope for TimeSplitters 4.

crtytek should buy off bungie and remake the whole halo trilogy with the cryengine 3 (ducks and runs away)
