hahahahahaha, proof that having more than one GPU is a waste of money.
Only if games don't stay optimized for them. But a lot of ppl like myself just wanted to build a crushing rig chasing those overclock.net dreams, albeit my cards are "outdated" now...Before the patch was perfect so I cant say they were a waste but my next build will be center around 1 card.
I highly recommend it, you're better off with say one 660 than 2 560's. Also your computer wont be using as much power, or need as big of a power supply. Plus you might be able to save yourself some money on the mobo too.
Hell, the way graphics cards are made, and how rapid a new one hits the market, I wouldn't throw out the idea of buying a used graphics card. There are a lot of nerds out there who just buy the new graphics cards because they are new, then they go on forums and complain that there isn't enough of a performance boost.
I bought my 560TI used from an old man who was using 2 560 Ti's in SLI and when I asked him what games he played he told me Quake 2, lol the tech for Quake 2 topped out like 10 years ago.
Yes yes, multi-GPU's are necessary for more than one monitor. But other than that....
