Crytek in their own words:

Sorry Crytek, I have a hard time believing that PC was put first then consoles were wrapped around it. It's interesting when asked about PC specific features, DX 11 is conveniently left out and tries to rattle off some technobabble. The game itself isn't bad, but it is obvious that Xbox 360 users had a greater say in this game than others. You got my money this time, but next time around I'm waiting for you to show me you are worth the 60 USDs. Here's to hoping you all are good on your promise of DX11 post launch.

Oh the game is a decent game from the gameplay standpoint (although a bit scaled back due to the fact it's in an Urban Environment but that is a minor point IMO), but please understand something from the PC gamer's perspective. I don't presume to speak for all PC gamers, but the sentiment I have is a sentiment held by a lot of PC gamers. It's hard for me to put this into perspective for a console gamer, but lemme try. Remember the feeling of wonder when you picked up your 360 from whatever previous gen console you had? The visual fidelity? Remember when Elder Scrolls came out? The free roam nature that it had? That was what the original Crysis held for PC gamers. Crytek has staged it's reputation on breaking barriers on graphics and in terms of gameplay hence their motto "Maximum Game". Now imagine of Skyrim does nothing to innovate, gives less options in terms of Gameplay and looks worse than Oblivion. How would you feel? That's how a lot of PC gamers feel.

Crytek set up expectations to improve over the last Crysis. Improvements were made in terms of the scalability (which I'm sure many are grateful and console gamers finally get to experience a taste of what PC gamers experience when playing Crysis). Crytek promised PC gamers that Crysis 2 wouldn't be brought down due to being a multi platform release. What many PC gamers are reporting is that Crysis 2 is scaled down or "consolized". DX11 is a prime example of this on top of the scaled down graphics customization. Crytek promised a lot with this game, but so far it has underwhelmed the fanbase which helped propel it to the critical acclaim it is receiving from publications. While they may be laughing all the way to the bank with sales, In my opinion abandoning those who gave the game a shot is low. To Cevat Yerli, forgive my elementary German aber: Arbeiten mehr bitte. Alle ist gut nicht. PC Spieleren wollen ein besser Crysis 2.

Try being one of a large collection that can't even play the game much less squabble about graphics. I instead am forced to roam the forums in search of a solution only to reply to random things I feel froggy about since I can't find where Crytek themselves has responded to the "serial code in use problem" that I can only assume is very well known to them by now.

I couldn't agree with this more man...I truly feel your words.

I just hope Crytek responds to the outcry set by the people who helped them be who they are today.

Sorry for you, man. Unfortunately, I think the Crytek people are huddled in their bunkers for now, laughing at all the money they conned everyone out of.

Return it. Go to the place you purchased it and demand a refund. Unless you bought it on steam, then your def screwed :(

I love steam, just wish they would take returns.

Unless they allow us to have a switch back to Cryengine 2 and patch multiplayer problems, they just lost a consumer and probably a lot more too.

I am starting to feel that every time there is a successful game that appeal to everyone and PC gamers, it is the sequel that causes the downfall of that.

So... congratulation console gamers, you literally **** up the market and the minority like us who happen to love high end pc gaming get to suffer for it. Happy now?

Crysis 2 on the PC is a joke,CryTek developed cryengine 3 for consoles, and left us unsatisfied. the game in it's current state doesn't even support DX11, and is plagued by super-bloom and other crap-plus there are no custom settings,IE MSAA and ASF.I wouldn't be surprised if Crysis looked better than Crysis 2. it was a dissapointment to me,but? helll BF3 looks promising enough for PC players.

yeah...maximum trolling engaged...

I'm just upset that i cant even upgrade my weapons or build on any stats. The fact that the game is currently rankless is kind of a let down. **** graphics + non functional multiplayer support = waist of $60. Not to mention that I cant even use my limited edition code.
