The game needs a patch badly or when games like Brink or even so much as the Gear 3 beta come along, people will drop your game like a bad habit.
It's a great game and people love to play it. The only downside is that WE CAN'T PLAY IT.
It truly says something about a developer that puts all the time into making a good product and then abandons it and their fans the moment it goes out the door.
It's a slap in the face and a "We have your money now, so we don't care" statement.
It was the same story with Battlefield: Bad Company 2. The game started out and was fun but no one played it for about 6 months after it came out because the lag was so bad. Their reason was simply because they didn't plan for that much success and had no idea the game would take off or that people would even get over the 30th rank. On top of that, they didn't provide us with a patch until wayyyy after it should have been provided. Anyone in touch with their own product would have realized immediately anyone invested in the quality of that game and the experience of the people invested in it would do something about it. They eventually did and it wasn't too late for them to have a successful year and accrue a large number of fans bold enough to say "This destroys CoD"
Your game has a different kind of experience in it's own way and given once games like Gears 3, CoD [whatever they're at now], Halo, and Battlefield 3 come out and no one plays your game, you can at least know you did us and your game a solid by providing something we wouldn't forget and would look forward to a later installment and maybe even purchase over the competition.
If you're going to ship an unfinished and shabby product, at least tell us you're aware of the situation and communicate with your fans. It isn't difficult.
I haven't played in over a week because I'm not going to waste what free time I have waiting in lobbies and then getting kicked out when the countdown is at 1 second and then thrown into another room on the same two damn maps over and over and over again.
Skyline and Terminal have been played a ridiculous amount of times more than any other map simply because your matchmaking doesn't randomize the map selection. So even once you find a match (zeus willing), you're still confined to the same laggy experience on one of two over-played maps.
Needless to say it svcks.
If you guys respect yourselves, the game, and the community supporting you, then please do something to address these issues so we can appreciate the product you've spent so much time making for us.
