I'm starting to think that CryEngine 3 isn't the best engine ever(granted, only seen Crysis 2 &3 on it) so meh. Maybe I'll be interested when gaming on Linux is a bit better.

I say go forward with it. Linux needs more attention. If Linux can build a big enough following of developers, compatibility problems will be far less prominent on the OS. I would even consider switching to it.
