Well we all heard promises about DX11 mode patch, but what about DX10 and DX10.1 mode?

I have DX10.1 SM 4.X card ATI Radeon HD 4890 1gb i could play Crysis 1 pretty find in DX10 mode, but my video card do not support DX11 , so it makes me wonder, will i be forced to play only in DX9 when patch will come out, or DX11 have back compatibility with DX10 and everything that missin in DX9 mode but exist in DX11 except DX11 exclusive thigns like tessellation would work in DX10 mode?

Crytek give us official respond and keep in mind that marked have more DX10 cards than DX11 and if you will not bring DX10 mode and will force DX10 card owners to play with dx9 features only, this fill cause a lot of rage!
So you better should give us clear statement, is this patch only for DX11 cards or DX10 cards will have upgrade too???

DX10 and DX11 are seperate APIs.

You can run either DX9, DX10, DX10.1 or DX11. You have to choose yourself based on what your hardware supports.

who says a dx11 patch will come? second of that if you cant run dx 11 then you wont use it either

mostly with a dx 10 our 11 patch, is that a new exe file will show up that stated dx11, our 10, dont worry you will be playing this game with our without a dx 11 patch.
