This has probably been brought up before but I noticed the console is completely locked down in terms of g_godMode = 1 and unlimited ammo infinite suit energy etc etc.
I have beaten the campaign twice without cheating and i absolutely love this game, but this is my only real complaint. Anti-cheating shuld be for multiplayer absolutely but not for the campaign. I miss devmode where i can fly arond and be invincible and stuff it was fun in crysis 1 and warhead.

Does anyone know if there is a way around this? I know you can edit the .pak files and change cvars in there but I have absolutely no idea how to open them lol. Plus i have a feeling i could really mess something up by doing that. Either way there has to be a way. Maybe the next patch will re-enable them for single player if we r lucky.....along with a map editor.....

it's a legit issue bro, i've seen alot of people with this same question across forums.

Achievements/Trophies, not many console games have cheats.

LOL nononon bro a console as in a command console....on PC.
u kno when u press the "~" key it brings down the console and u can type con_restricted = 0 etc and the cheat commands dont work in the single player campaign. thats what i mean

A majority of the console commands were removed before the official release, only a hand full made it through.

dont see the point to disable it tbh, once you beaten the game you wanna go on a killingspree without dying or running out of ammo or getting low on energi =)

Anyhow, I'm pretty sure there is a work around in the config but I wouldn't get too bogged down in it

Oh no dont worry I ain't trolling. I absolutely love crysis 2 and i think its beautiful, exciting and fun. The cheat lockdown in single player is like....my only complaint.

concidering people are just unpacking game files and making thier own cheats by editing xml files i dont think it matters.

Evil ZeR0 how do you unpack those files? No idea now to do that i tried but no programs i have work.

and MayDay wtf its not useless s***, PC crysis 1 had all these commands and a devmode too. Made the game even more amazing than it already was, they locked down this one. The unlocks are just stuff to look at, dogtags, pics, and they are cool, but i'm talking cheats. Like invulnerability, no energy drain, unlimited ammo etc etc. for use in single player campaign. Not multiplayer at all just to clarify. They were in the first game. They should be here too except they are disabled.

I agree with you Barronator, these cheat should be usable for having more fun in solo mode. I've found everything you can collect, and now i just want to kick alien's as*es like a serial killer ( as terminators do ), just for fun.

I agree, the cheats were great fun in the first game.
